A great game with a few flaws
This is a game I've owned for a while. I bought it on my old computer, and noticed right away that there were certain points in the game where it would freeze up or lag on me. Due to how beautiful this game world is, and how far the world is shown to you, I attributed it to my computer not being powerful enough to run the game. Then I built my own PC at the end of 2011, and I ran into the same problem. However I can honestly say, despite the hiccups in the games faulty engine, it is a good game. Although not made by the original team who worked on the Gothic games prior to, its by no means a terrible game. Yes it's not as open ended or anything, but I still feel it's a solid RPG experience. If you've never played a Gothic game, but are looking for something to compare the combat system to, think of Risen. The graphics in this game are very impressive, and the music is really good.
