Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods Enhanced Edition

I love this game. The graphics are aging but the story and gameplay are excellent. Also, the dev console codes/cheats allow more replay enjoyment - once you understand a couple things: To give yourself Coins: give It_Gold x x is the number of Coins (gold/money) you want added to your inventory. Some of the keyboard keys have different assignments in the G3 console: the hyphen key '-' is swapped with the forward slash key '/' so you have to type SHIFT+/ to get an underscore '_' in the console. the letters 'y' and 'z' are also swapped. Copy and paste review of my "Gothic 2" and "Gothic 3" review. Well, the same review fits Gothic 3 Forsaken Gods perfectly! Why re-invent the wheel? Again, can't see why it's hated quite so much as all these 1-star reviews show, but I must also agree, it is a poor game overall. The reasons? Well, the same as what I put in my "Gothic 3" review. Unlike "Gothic 3", this one does work straight from install without needing to go download yet more files/patches from other sources. Boy, the in game camera made me want to puke though, spin, spin, spin, wheeeee! :D I again find it very suprising that the bad reviews attract the positive votes for once. Normally on GOG it is the other way around! Well, that in itself is pretty damning evidence of what this game is like. But I'll give it 2-star, again for the "benefit of the doubt" so to speak.

As others have said... very bad game, very poor choice by GOG to put it on here. I'm not wasting words on why it is bad. Others will be along shortly to take care of that.

A game with big ambitions annd with big aspirations eaten by his own mistakes, bugs and mistakes. It's the best example for if the number on the sequel title is bigger, then the game is scarier... I think, The Elder Scrolls: Buggerfall... khm... Daggerfall is much comfortable on playing...
