Gothic II: Gold Edition brings together the excitement of Gothic II and the add-on Night of the Raven to your fingertips!
You have torn down the magical barrier and released the prisoners of the Mine Valley. Now the former criminals of the forests and mountains are causing trouble around the capital of Khorinis. The town militia is powerless due to their low amount of force–outside of the town, everyone is helpless against the attacks of the bandits.

Best RPG Ever
Just played Gothic 2+NOTR last semester, and it is without a doubt the best RPG I've ever played.

Totally Awesome
I owned this game before GOG was created and I still thought it was great. Ironically, I got it for $6 at Video Ezy and now it's $10 on GOG. Buy this game or Innos will strike you down (hahaha).

Gothic II
Really a fun game. Nice because it actually has an end, and nice because it has great replay value. This game is difficult, especially if you want to move fast through the story. But, it's fun enough to keep you going.

Pinnacle of immersive European RPGDesign
Gothic II does one thing better than any other game I've played: it immerses the player in it's tightly packed, rude, raw, and still incredibly diverse world: with a very minimalistic, non-MMO, non-Console-like interface, its fascinating story / factions / locations and a never ending array of unscaled hidden caches and monsters - that force you to think like a helpless outcast in the beginning (you better run for the city guards when more than one wolf approaches) and like a true faction champion in the end (SPOILER yes you do your hijack the kings war galleon for yourself). Downsides are the unforgiving combat (you will not be able to kill anyone you encounter, you may just have to run) and the difficult-to-get-into controls (you can, but also must control what direction you swing your sword to and there are only timed blocks). This game comes from an era prior to COD click-and-kill gaming - so don't try it if you don't feel up to the challenge. A must for fans of DA:Origins, Witcher, NWN2, KotOR and modded Skyrim. Playtime: ~ 45 h.
