Perfect game for this site
I played it on steam. It's worthy remaster of this game and it seams that dev are fans of Gothic game as well. Now its on a DRM free path. I can only wish all the best for this games success.

has potential
The graphic is really beautiful, the atmosphere seems really cool. I like the unloading area the most (new house and screnery) and the fact that you can enter the old mine. combat is average, but based on the comments I expected something worse - it only need some tweeks. character moves really slowly, clumsily and gets stuck all the time; jumping is really bad - overall at the moment - controls are worse than in the really clumsy Gothic 1 (original). the only thing I really like about the new controls (so far) is going down from cliffs/ledges. items should be highlighted from a greater distance and at greater angles, and the items themselves should be more visible (I found the bow after 20 minutes of searching and only because I knew it was somewhere in the old mine - but didn't know where exactly). picking up items and opening chests should be more responsive. overall (as a alfa) it's decent, but I hope the game will get all the necessary patches and fulfill our dream of Gothic returning in 2025.

We'll have to see the final form. Combat could use some polish, it's somehow more jank than the original game, hard to judge distance to attack

good demo.
this demo is a good test. it allows you to try out the initial stages of the adventure, but with a character who will not be the protagonist of the final game. it allows you to sample the combat system, different graphic options and the game atmosphere. Graphically it is a little heavy, and in the demo version there is no option to activate RT and DLSS.
