War has been waged across the kingdom of Myrtana. Orcish hordes invaded human territory and the king of the land needed a lot of ore to forge enough weapons, should his army stand against this threat. Whoever breaks the law in these darkest of times is sentenced to serve in the giant penal colony of Khorinis, mining the so much needed ore.
The whole area, dubbed "the Colony", is surrounded by a magical barrier, a sphere two kilometers diameter, sealing off the penal colony from the outside world. The barrier can be passed from the outside in – but once inside, nobody can escape. The barrier was a double-edged sword - soon the prisoners took the opportunity and started a revolt. The Colony became divided into three rivaling factions and the king was forced to negotiate for his ore, not just demand it.
You are thrown through the barrier into this prison. With your back against the wall, you have to survive and form volatile alliances until you can finally escape.
Features include:
One of the biggest RPGs with over 50 hours of gameplay
A large variety of weapons and spells for your character
A living world where people go to work, sleep, eat and fight to survive
Exactly that, now a more up to day experience would be to play Dragon Age Inquisition and I won't say Witcher 3 because they are wildy different and it would be like comparing it with a game from the Assassins Creed series. btw Diego's voice you can find it in Vasimir's in Witcher 3
An all time favorite for me. For its time this game was damn good. Happy to see others finally enjoying this game. I was part of the World of Gothic and we helped with the community patches and other things. Gothic 1 and 2 are must play games. Controls are clunky but that's how things were in those days.
When first time played many yeaars ago i was anoyed by controls but its one of the best story tell evere . Even aftere compliting the game so many times im still playing it , Maybe is only 1 thing whats bothering me the same thing what happened in Witcher 3 on high lvl spending skill points is pointles , A lot of unused skill points when u IMBA but beginings are always hard :) . Its sad that G3 wasnt so good like first part and second wasnt so good like this part but still not bad
Imagine a medieval realm in which a king detains power and there is a war, a great war versus tremendouos beasts. Everything is allowed and so the ruler can use the criminals as slaves and imprison them into a colony-mine where they should gather magical ore resources.
Now you're in a jail and you do not know anything but the fact you must survive. Explore the land, cook, learn how to become a warrior or definitely approach magic: no one is a free friend, quid pro quo is the main rule. At the beginning nothing is easy as in the real world but after some hours in the medieval fantasy realm you'll be able to master each movement and skill. Forget about free travel: you may visit only some quarter and the access to the others will be acheieved only with experience. The desire for freedom is arising but who and what is that Sleeper whom everybody is talking about?
