Enter the Norse realm
His vengeance against the Gods of Olympus years behind him, Kratos now lives as a man in the realm of Norse Gods and monsters. It is in this harsh, unforgiving world that he must fight to survive… and teach his son to do the same.

Grasp a second chance
Kratos is a father again. As mentor and protector to Atreus, a son determined to earn his respect, he is forced to deal with and control the rage that has long defined him while out in a very dangerous world with his son.

Journey to a dark, elemental world of fearsome creatures
From the marble and columns of ornate Olympus to the gritty forests, mountains and caves of pre-Viking Norse lore, this is a distinctly new realm with its own pantheon of creatures, monsters and gods.

Engage in visceral, physical combat
With an over the shoulder camera that brings the player closer to the action than ever before, fights in God of War™ mirror the pantheon of Norse creatures Kratos will face: grand, gritty and grueling. A new main weapon and new abilities retain the defining spirit of the God of War series while presenting a vision of conflict that forges new ground in the genre.

Yo, listen up, you nerds

I gotta tell you about this game, God of War, on freakin’ PC. It’s like when you find a hidden stash of PBRs in your grandma’s basement—unexpected, but you’re damn grateful. So let’s dive in, bros. Sony, those slick bastards, decided to drop God of War on PC. And lemme tell ya, it’s like they handed Kratos a beer bong and said, “Go wild, bro.” The PC? It’s the keg at the party. Raw power, versatility, and more frames per second than a squirrel on meth. You’ll be playing this game so smooth, it’s like you’re sliding down a greased-up stripper pole. Trust me, I’ve been there. Kratos, man. Used to be a god, now he’s a dad. His son, Atreus? Kid’s got more emotional baggage than a Tinder date. They’re on a road trip, spreading ashes like they’re at a damn barbecue. It’s like when you and your buddies pile into a beat-up van for a cross-country adventure. Kratos is the designated driver, and Atreus is the dude in the backseat who won’t stop asking, “Are we there yet?” But hey, family drama—it’s relatable shit. Now, the Leviathan Axe? That thing’s like a cross between Thor’s hammer and a frozen pizza cutter. Kratos swings it, and enemies freeze up like they just saw their ex at a party. It’s poetry, man. Atreus is all, “Dad, how are we gonna cross that gap?” And Kratos? He lifts a beam the size of a frickin’ Winnebago. It’s like watching a drunk dude move furniture after a keg party. Legendary. And shoutout to GOG, the unsung heroes of gaming. These guys are like the dudes who sneak beer into a movie theater. No DRM, no digital handcuffs—just pure, unfiltered gaming. Sony, take notes. This is how you win hearts. GOG’s got more street cred than a Wu-Tang Clan concert. So, in the grand saga of gaming, God of War is like that time you shotgunned a Four Loko and woke up with a tattoo of a dragon on your ass. It binds us, man. Transcends platforms. Sony, bring more of your catalog to PC. Let the gods walk among us, and let’s raise our axes to this mythic journey.

Great action with questionable designs

The action part is great with lots of tools to use and they do make you feel so powerful as you progress through the game! There are also some good endgame contents like dungeons and bosses which for me is essential to an action game. However, there are some design choices that I am personally not a fan of: -Too many map puzzles that drag the pacing of the game. -Too much walking that makes the game like a walking simulator sometimes. If you like puzzles and enjoying beautiful scenery walking around then those are not a big problem but if you want pure action you will get frustrated quite often by the pacing.

The most overrated title ever?

Where to begin. The graphics are pretty but extremely unreactionary. An example of this is when you are in the boat and the water doesn't react and the boat moves extremely awkward and unrealistically. I enjoyed Dante's inferno and since I have never been a playstation guy I have always missed God of War... until now. I really enjoy mythology so all signs pointed towards me liking this more than Dante's inferno. That couldn't be further from the truth. This game is littered with BORING awful puzzles and redundant back tracking. It sucks all the momentum right out of the game as I couldn't stand to play this game for more than an hour before getting tired and extremely bored. The gameplay is repetitive and boring and the monster diversity is very limited which is odd for a game based on mythology. Solve a boring puzzle, get useless loot, fight boring monsters, be a step dad, rinse and repeat. Yes, you are guiding some dumb little kid the entire game and it adds absolutely NOTHING. He "helps" in combat by firing useless arrows (at your command, basically an extension of Kratos and basically has no AI) He also "helps" by drawing the attention of enemies and then crying about it. Then he "helps" you reach the next area by jumping up somewhere and dropping a ladder for you or something along the line but he is painfully annoying and completely retracts from the "experience." You play as the god of war, someone who can move mountains and kill insane creatures of mythology but when it comes to actually combat your character is weak as hell. There is no sense of progression and the combat and combos are painfully boring. The only thing stopping me from giving this 1 star is the graphics and voice acting. Kratos looks and sounds the part but the devs completely laid an egg when it comes to execusion. Don't believe the hype this game is beyond brutal. There are a thousand better games out there, do yourself a favor and save your money, I wish I did.

Just a decent game, not great

This game has one of the worst leveling systems on any RPG I have ever played. The first 7-8 hours of the game are brutal because the leveling system purposely handicaps you. You get no upgrade or level up until this point, while the enemies are unrelenting. Then all of a sudden, when at the 8 hr mark, you move up 3-4 levels in an instant which finally unlocks the skill tree. But guess what, from here on you level up quicker and more skills become available. You end up with a situation where there are so many new key sequences to remember, but not enough time for the muscle memory to kick in. Also, now the game's difficulty suddenly shifts from brutal to manageable/easy. As I mentioned at the beginning, the worst leveling system ever. Second, Kratos has been stripped of all personality. I played the old GOW games just a bit, and even in that short time I thought he was a badass and had a wickedly cool personality. You as the gamer felt like a god. Now, you get a weeping, mumbling and grumbling guy with a dad bod that goes around doing things. The axe is such a weak ass weapon, it feels like all the enemies are gods and Kratos is just a dad with a stick. Pretty pathetic. In fact, his unarmed fists are more powerful than his axe. Immersion breaking. Some of the levels are simply confusing, as you go into a parallel world and at that point the environments resemble a sci-fi feeling like Mass Effect. The game design idea of portals and parallel worlds are not so interesting to me. It's a cheap way to introduce lore breaking environments. On the bright side, the visuals and story are pretty good, and once you level up a bit the game is fun, however nothing very memorable. I stopped playing after a while because it wasn't living up to the hype.
