Before man climbed down from the trees to shop in megastores and drink cappuccino, before the Earth wadded itself into a cool blue ball, before the Moon even existed, there was the Island. The Island, a massive fragment of a long-lost planet, hurtling blindly through space. Upon the surface of this paradise wanders the giant, Kabuto. Little does Kabuto know that the Island was home to others before him. In the oceans, there dwells a matriarchal race called the Sea Reapers. In their pride, they created Kabuto, as a defense against intruders. But Kabuto became conscious of himself, his loneliness, his pain - and he went berserk.
Space castaways, the Meccs piloted their ship through space, looking for their missing friends. If you haven’t guessed already, they ended up on the Island. Faced with yet another unscheduled layover while on their way to Planet Majorca, the Meccs decide to make the best of their temporary home. Just their luck - the natives are already embroiled in their own little war, and the Mecc visitors are most unwelcome!
Meccaryns... Sea Reapers... Kabuto... One island isn’t big enough for the three of them.

The "Invader Zim" of video games. Criminally under underrated game that does it's own thing and does it superb. Highly recommended for some light, fun gaming.
Loved the game, hated the difficult level. Seriously, who beat this game at first try? I’ve tried to do it and failed miserably… But I didn’t cry, I laugh all the time! Cutscenes are funny, smart (if you remember “the father” you catch my drift), and wicked. Armed and Dangerous anyone? There similar in many ways.
Plot is nothing at the time the games was released. We don’t save the world (not at the beginning at least), only little people, hot babe, and bottle of beer.
The gampley it’s tpp shooter for the first part, then tpp shooter + rts, following tpp slash and run, and finally, tpp smash all that isn’t you.
Graphics is very well done, music too. If you want to spend some time laughing yourself off and cursing yourself too, give it a try.
First your a jet packing, gun wielding mecc man. Then a magic casting, bow wielding, super jumping reaper lady. Then to top it all off, big ol eat everything I see because I can giant creature man. Tie it all together with laugh out loud humour, and explosions, and you've got a game that is well WELL worth your money and general looking into. Definitely recommended.
Smart and witty, colourful but with a quite grim premise, this game rocked my boat when it originally came out. Back then, it made me upgrade to a costly GeForce 2 without regretting a single penny given away. Immense levels, A-class humour, memorable characters and a lot to do and to see. It simply rocks!
The mix of many genres and types of gameplay is great but it really feels unfinished. There should be more variety within the particular genre, because it becomes repetitive. Mostly you don't notice it because of the fast pace and because of the gameplay type changes, but sometimes it really hurts the game. The jetski races in Delphi's segment are bad and then the whole last act, where you play as titular Kabuto feels like developers ran out of money and/or ideas bacause not only it's the simpliest and most repetitive segment but unlike the previous acts, it lacks any story developement and those great hilarious cutscenes. What a pity. The RTS missions are the most complex but unfortunately they're very simple too, there is no enemy AI and mission objectives and gameplay are always the same. And there is not many of them. Because of this, Giants are a perfect game for kids or for adults, who just want to play something simple and relaxing for a while but personaly I would prefer something more elaborate.
