Put your sword to the test in Ghostrunner Demo here

Ghostrunner is a hardcore FPP slasher packed with lightning-fast action, set in a grim, cyberpunk megastructure. Climb Dharma Tower, humanity’s last shelter, after a world-ending cataclysm. Make your way up from the bottom to the top, confront the tyrannical Keymaster, and take your revenge.

The streets of this tower city are full of violence. Mara the Keymaster rules with an iron fist and little regard for human life.

As resources diminish, the strong prey on the weak and chaos threatens to consume what little order remains. The decisive last stand is coming. A final attempt to set things right before mankind goes over the edge of extinction.

As the most advanced blade fighter ever created, you’re always outnumbered but never outclassed. Slice your enemies with a monomolecular katana, dodge bullets with your superhuman reflexes, and employ a variety of specialized techniques to
prevail.

One-hit one-kill mechanics make combat fast and intense. Use your superior mobility (and frequent checkpoints!) to engage in a never-ending dance with death fearlessly.

Ghostrunner offers a unique single-player experience: fast-paced, violent combat, and an original setting that blends science fiction with post-apocalyptic themes. It tells the story of a world that has already ended and its inhabitants who fight to survive.

About as fun as stepping into Lego

I can say so much. The best about the game is the intro cutscene. The game apparently wants to be hard, however, there's a difference between being a hard game and being unfair. This game is the latter and whilst being unfair it gets incredibly frustrating to play. Besides being unnecesarilly "hard" and frustrating, the game apparently wants to be some sort of jump and run as well. But here's the catch. If you try to be fast in the platformer passages, you get punished. You are a microsecond too fast? You get killed. You press the button a microsecond off timing? You die. And if that wasn't fun enough for one. You also gets killed by bad controls because the character likes to stick to some surfaces or flatout climbs up walls you actually want to run on and then die. Can't say much about the story since I haven't finished the game and probably never will finish it. Graphics are quite good (but enabling Raytracing kills your performance entirely). Soundtrack is alright as well. Overall a terrible experience. Wouldn't reccomend unless you have this one "friend" you absolutely hate and never want to talk to again. 0,1/10

Good action puzzle platformer

I really enjoyed all the action in the "real world", you move around these arenas with a lot of verticality clearing them from a few sorts of enemies that pose a bit different sort of threat to you. Everybody dies in one hit including you... and it works, mostly. I could complain about the few boss battles, which are not vary inspired and just kind of expose how straightforward the action is, but my greatest issue was the platforming. People say how they hate first person platforming all the time, but until now I never really felt the same way. I replayed both the Mirror's Edge games a couple of times, and never got even a little frustrated. Titanfall 2 is probably my all time favorite FPS and I LIKE the platforming in there. I don't like the one in Doom Eternal, but it doesn't really annoy me. This game, though... this game is trying to be a challenge there. Just throwing at you all the specific jumps that are really tough guessing the distance correctly. The game also doesn't seem to give you much leniency about jumping at the right moment, which gets really vary frustrating during the final challenge run... I died almost 400 times there, and it took me quite a long while to even figure out what I was doing wrong. I kept wondering whether the movement system just changed on me for no reason (but no, you just have to time the jump after wall-runs really well). Basically, it's really fun, but the platforming gets a bit too serious at times AND I DIDN'T ENJOY that for even a tiny bit, honestly. You get to jump across these moving platforms with red orbs flying at you seemingly at random, and I got through that mostly by luck only to do the wall-run and jump part again, that I wasn't even happy about getting through the first time, because it annoyed me too much... On the other hand, I found most of the game reasonable in difficulty, and I don't think of myself as a hardcore gamer, so it's probably worth a shot, just be ready for the bullet-hell platforming...

Just great

Great atmosphere, great graphics, great soundtrack. This would have worked even without using the Hotline Miami design of 1HP player, because it is a great game in many aspects. The only cons are some sometimes floaty controls, some annoying enemies and the fact it has an ending. It definitely has not overstayed its welcome and i would like to see more of this.

Super cool Cyberpunk platformer

Amazing level design, amazing art direction, amazing soundtrack, challenging enemies. A must buy if you're into cyberpunk worlds and 3D platformers.

Remember playing Contra?

This is exactly like plaing Contra on NES. Grinding your skill until you can do anything. Switched to mouse and keyboard for precission. The story is a bit generic but great visuals and the feeling of acquiring a skill is great.
