Azriel Odin, ex-assassin, arrives on the rain-drenched planet of Barracus. When things go horribly wrong, he can only seek help from the very criminals he used to work for.
Meanwhile, across the galaxy, a man called Delta-Six wakes up in a hospital with no memory. Without knowing where to turn or who to trust, he vows to escape before he loses his identity completely. As fate brings these two closer together, you’ll discover a world where life is cheap, identities are bought and sold, and a quest for redemption can change the fate of a whole galaxy.
Gemini Rue will delight you with its moody background music, gritty atmosphere, and a story that will leave you thinking about the very nature of the human psyche and even free will. This is a must-have for classic pixel art, point-and-click adventure, and noir detective stories fans alike!
It’s a neo-noir sci-fi adventure that will take you across the galaxy.
Engage in dangerous shootouts and solve devious dialogue-based puzzles.
Take control of two different characters on the opposite sides of the galaxy.

Great adventure modern/classic point and click adventure game. Appealing art, terrific voice acting, intriguing sci-fi plot, etc.
A few surprising touches that give it variety like controlling different characters along the adventure, shootings, etc.
Recommended if you like old style adventure games with a fresh air.
I have to disagree with some of the other "best game ever!" reviews. Yes, the pixel art is nice, and yes, some of the puzzles are clever. There are also some nice twists and turns as the story unfolds.
However, I never really got fully immersed in the story. I felt it was lacking something. The occasional plot-hole and "wait...what?" moment didn't help things. I also got stuck on a couple of puzzles: for one, I may have missed a possible action (though I could swear I had tried it before consulting a walkthrough), but for the other, it involved a little pixel-hunting.
So yes, not bad at all, and hopefully it'll get you thinking about the nature of identity and memory (though despite the in-game references, Memento it is not). But still, I finished the game feeling a little hollow.
'Gemini Rue' is a point-and-click adventure game that was written and designed by Joshua Nuernburger. In the game, you play as Azriel Odin and Delta-Six. The former is a former assassin and the latter is a prisoner who just had his memory wiped as part of rehabilitation. Azriel and Delta-Six's storylines, although separate, will inevitably converge.
For an indie game, in which the art, animation and programming were all done by Nuernburger himself, its overall quality is pretty close to professional. The noir and dystopic future tones of the story are well complimented by the appropriately drawn and animated settings. The puzzles are logical, borderline too easy in parts. The voice acting is also well done, though may be amateurish at times, but is nothing laughable. All in all, these elements are surprisingly good for an indie title.
Still, the game's flaws can hard to ignore. For instance, the point-and-click interface is clunky, but serviceable. The graphics can be muddy in some parts, making clickable objects hard to detect. In spite of its flaws, 'Gemini Rue' is an indie title is a gem that, with a bit of polish here and there, could have rivaled the top Sierra adventure games.
This game is great, I really liked the story and the world building is amazing. The puzzles are all logic and the voices are very good. The "action" sequences are simple enough so nobody should avoid playing this game because of that.
I was looking for something to replace my blade runner void and i found it. It's a good game. The conclusion was perfect and surprisingly i didn't see it the twist coming. 10/10
I loved it!
