Gangsters: Organized Crime

As time marches forward more and more computers will be unable to play a game they purchased. It is ethically unreasonable for gog to continue selling it now that windows 10 came out. Windows Vista was a long time ago it is time to fix the video game to run on modern machines. So one star, which is a a damn shame.

I can't even set up a game, because the menus at the start are all blank so I can't create a character or set parameters

I searched far and wide, trying every single fix multiple times, multiple different ways, and a billion variants of each fix. The game either launches with no text (with the DXWRAPPER fix) on a 640x480 resolution or never launches and ends up with a black screen (without the DXWRAPPER fix). I tried running it through Virtual Machine on Windows XP, Windows 7, and other older Windows versions, did not work, with and without DXWRAPPER fix, also did not work. I did every fix you could find, also the fix that was mentioned here (REGEDIT fix), and spent 8 hours trying to fix this BS. I even used a bunch of AI to help me try to fix it and find potentially new/unknown fixes, but to no avail. Despite the small amount of playtime (2 minutes), GOG rejected my refund request. There is no fix at all. Why sell a game that clearly does not work?

This is such a good game, I just wish it worked! It doesn't play on my windows 10 machine.
