Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within

An amazing game. Well researched by Jensen, with great attention to detail (I've travelled in Bavaria and have seen Neuschwanstein: but Schloss Ritter is a myth). Good acting: far better than some A grade movies (eg, Eyes Wide Shut). I struggled with Gabriel's mumblings and strong accent, me being a downunder bloke, so missed some critical dialogue. The story line was gripping, and had my adrenaline going at times, especially in the forest scene where Gabriel is chasing Zell, and at the very end in the furnace room. Trapping von Glower in the furnace room tested my logic ability to the limit (and I'd thought the tile maze in Broken Sword: Hidden Dragon was difficult). My romantic side hoped that Grace would declare her (obvious) love for Gabriel at the final scene, but she never did (and I now know there's a GK3. Well done GOG.

This is one of my favorite adventure games from back then. it´s simply awesome to have this on gog and that i´ll be able to play this again without any issues. thanks gog, you rock. buy this game!

This is my favorite adventure game of all time. Won Computer Gaming World's game of the year when it was released. Full Motion Video Capture was in it's pinnacle with this game. Great production and awesome story line. Don't want to get into it too much, but I highly recommend experiencing this game.

The game is good, but not great. I add 1 star beacause it is realy old one (and GK series). For sure game was awesome in past. But actors were realy bad a especially Gabriel and Grace. After third chapter I accustomed to them. Almost everything was predictable and clear. But after some time I used to game and now I say.. OK :)

The best thing about Gabriel Knght 2 is that it takes place in Munich (and other Bavarian locations). Back in 95 it totally freaked me out to see my hometown in a computer game.
