Harder than Frostpunk 1 by miles.
It's a lot more political x5 more complicated in everything. Tech. Relations. Weather. Buildings. Etc.

Not what we have been waiting for
It seems almost like a completely different game, not at all what I was hoping the long wait would yield. Everything feels detached, I couldn't connect with the gameplay. It felt robotic, like there were no real people in the game. Some things changed that didn't make sense, like before people could trudge through the snow, but now you need machines to do it. Your were so zoomed out, it felt almost like you were just watching someone else play a game. I guess I will just keep waiting for a better sequel, expansion for the last game, or anything else that seems to be like the first one.

Disappointing and nothing like Frostpunk
So I went into this expecting Frostpunk 2 and instead got some oddball crossover of Cities Skylines/Anno/Paradox game mashup, none of the elements of which seems to work together. It's probably fine for what it is, but it's not what I wanted and nothing like the original game in anything but theme. If you are a fan of the "Keep track of 30 sliders and statistics" type of gameplay, with a mediocre tile placement game attached, this is probably the game for you. Also seems horribly optimized, graphics are unimpressive but it made my PC want to melt none the less. Not recommended.

Not really a sequel to the first game
The first Frostpunk was a thing of it's own, a rough diamond in it's own niche. This iteration ditches almost everything that made the first game enticing for me : from micro to macro, and a very different gameplay overall. Maybe not a bad game for what it is, but not the sequel I wanted for Frostpunk, and not really something that caught my attention sadly.

An overcomplicated confusion of things
As a fan with +500 hours playing the first Frostpunk I had very high expectations and this was such a let down. Overcomplicated, overcumberome, too much micromanagement, too little enjoyment.
