Freespace 2

An excellent space flight combat sim. The campaign is great, constantly giving you new and more advanced ships to fly and weapons to use, it provides a nice sense of progression. Along with promotions and citations, it makes you feel like you're really involved in an interstellar war. The game runs great and identified my HOTAS flight stick no problem. Though it automatically assigned controls, this game always allowed you to fully customize your inputs easily at any time, even during a mission. One of 10 "must-haves" on gog.com, if you have any interest in flight sims, give this one a go.

The continued story of Freespace. Freespace 2 is the next struggle oft he GTVA against the Shivans. Improved gameplay features such as heavy capitalship weapons. An incredible game.

Freespace 2 (1999) is becoming an oldie, but i have to say, it still up there with the best. An amazing story, extremely well designed gameplay and music that gives you goosebumps. This game has it all. And for 5.99$ this game is a steal.

I can't even begin to describe the overwhelming joy I felt when I found this site, and then proceeded to find a version of Freespace 2 that was stable and Vista compatible to boot!!! I would have to agree with anyone who says that this is THE defining game of the spaceflight/combat sim genre. This is only confirmed when, as was stated before, when you look on e-bay and see it going for $100 and up. If you enjoy flight/combat sims you must pick this game up!!! Really, for $6 you can't go wrong. Keep those good 'ole games coming GOG.com!!
