Freespace 2 offers the best space-based storyline ever created, fast-paced action and, even now, beautiful graphics. A must-have for absolutely all people who enjoy a good story and like computer games.

Definitely the best in it's genre. Not only a great simulator but a climactic story (much better than SC), and it's just a load of fun. I would definitely buy if I didn't have my original CDs. One of the best game purchases I made.

The first free space was amazing, this one took all the things of the first one and made it better and it was the last best space-combat-sim to ever be released. If I had to pick one old game to get a sequel it would be this one. Here is to volition taking up this series again.

This game defines all space shooters today, this is a well made, game, people like it. Its just a good game, and not to mention the 50,000 addons and mods for this game, it just rocks, get this game-- you wont be dissapointed

Despite this game's age, it is still better than most games of its type. Actually there aren't really any others like it, which makes it a one of a kind. With Freespace Open you can expand tremendously on an already feature packed game. Some of the best tutorials of even today, and some of the coolest briefing scenes.
