Fragile Allegiance

This is a great games but i bought it to play with my roomate and the multiplayer does not work. After many tries we were able to play together with hamachi using the lunch game in multiplayer exe in the game folder but one of us always get disconnected after about 20min. I am disapointed. If you intend to play solo then its worth it but dont buy this thinking you can enjoy a game with your friends.

One of the best space strategy games ever...there is no strategy like this one (exept K240 for Amiga). It is a pity that somebody did not do a remake of this glorious game.

This game is a total managerial/combat/strategy gem. Don't expect storyline, you are just working for The Federation, an asteroid-mining franchise, and this is what you do. But also, there will be competitors and hostile alien species that seek the same goal: mineral exploitation and they won't hesitate in turn to violence to wipe you from asteroids you mining in. The gameplay is mouse based and totally addictive. Keep in mind game cannot be played outside the box and the dosbox coming with the program may crash to desktop, easy solution is just try other versions of dosbox.

I have played games since ..... ever. I love all sorts of games (like: Dungeon Keeper, Master of Orion, Masters of Magic, Jagged Alliance, Dwarf Fortress and many more). I could easily say I played them all (until 2005), and I own most of them. But if I had to pick one, than This is the one! Why? This game is separate genre on its own. It has best diplomacy model ever developed. Very climatic music. And there are NO other games like this. (except on Atari :) ) That is why this is THE game to play. On the down side: It crashes from time to time, it could use more spaceships, more weapons, more technologies, and it would be great to play other races. Modern Internet play support would nail it. Why 5/5 ? Because it is unique gem and there is nothing like this.

This is one of my favourite games of all time, it has a steep learning curve but rewards you well once you learn the ins and outs. I keep waiting for new games to upend it but it never happens and i keep coming back to play this.
