FoxTail is a classic point-and-click quest. Drawing inspiration from the old pixel adventure games of the middle 90's, we create an atmospheric and spectacular world without using sophisticated modern technologies.
Complex and variable tasks: the world of FoxTail triggers player’s imagination and gives an opportunity to solve problems in different, but equal in complexity ways.
A charming story: echoing the leisurely rhythm of the old school adventures, the story is still colorful and impressive, but never boring.
Characters and their stories: every character in the game has his own life, in which the player will have to take part, one way or another.
The main heroine, Leah the fox, is charismatic, funny and cunning, as any fox is supposed to be. She will have a long and difficult journey: through the labyrinths of mines, mountains, swamps and dangerous forest at night, defeating her own fears and helping those who meet her on the way.
All this is for the great positive goal that doesn’t allow her to retreat or surrender.
I have played an in-development version of this game with interest. The game has a story, which makes it feel like a game, not another job with different puzzles to solve.
This game is like a young heir to the old genre of point-n-click adventures.
The gameplay is comfortable and straightforward enough, the puzzles are of moderate complexity, so it maintains balance between challenge and fun.
The plot is simple but lovely, and I'm looking forward to the continuation.
This game plays like the ld adventure games from my youth. It's so much better than most modern or tell-tale games. Gihly rcomend if you like genuinly chllenging ouzzles iwth personality.
I've played so many point and click adventure games recently, and this came recommended to me after playing Inherit the Earth. Now it's one of my new favorites among the genre. It has a good amount of puzzles, great visuals, and fantastic music. I definitely look forward to new chapters and fully support all who helped to make this game come to life.
I think this may be my first review on here. This game is so good that I had to review it.
First, if you have ever played and enjoyed old school point and click adventures and enjoyed them, you are in for a real treat. Graphically, I would compare it to Legend of Kyrandia. Beautiful scenery, relaxing music, and the main character is cute, even if you aren't a furry lol. Music wise, there were no songs that jumped out and stuck in my head, but they all fit the mood of the environment well enough. If you played a lot of the old adventure games, keep your eyes open for some subtle references to them.
The game is full of charm. It doesn't try to shoehorn politics or social issues. It's simply a heartwarming story of a grandmother and her grandaughter. Im curious to see what will happen next, however. The game currently sits at three chapters with the fourth one nearing completion. Per the forums, it had been delayed for some time due to the unrest in Ukraine.
The puzzles were challenging enough to make you think, but not so hard that I got furious and wanted to quit. The puzzle to open the safe was chef's kiss amazing. I really had to think through that one! Props to the team for it. In addition, you can alter the difficulty to where your pointer will not change to indicate an interactable item or environment, or make it even simpler by making interactables sparkle. I thought the basic settings on easy worked just fine, as I believe without a marker to interact with, it would have been incredibly difficult to find certain things to interact with. (Even with this feature, It took me a long time to find two specific items in the second chapter. I found them purely by accident.)
Overall, the price for this is perfect. If you buy it and don't like it, you are not out a fortune, so I highly recommend it. It's even family friendly.
