One of the best crash racers

I waited to long to buy this amazing fun race game. Played a lot other racers and some destruction racers like Destruction Derby 1 & 2, Burnout Paradise, Carmageddon (also the latest PS4 version) If you like crashes to wreck tem all than this game is for you! A lot of tracks in different landscapes, and there are 3 race types, each with other cars. ok the cars are not licenced but I don't care : some cars are mixed up like a Mustang/Camaro/Charger types etc... The soundtrack is ok, it's all about rock, but most of the time I play without music cause the soundeffects are very good done. I bought it on Steam but I guess gogcom is also topnotch to play on.

Great arcade racer, one of the best.

An arcade racer with 3 race classes - Derby, racer and street racer. Model damage is included and you can take someone out of the race by ramming them into a tree/wall/other solid object. You will begin in the derby cup with rat cars and earning money, upgrading your car and buying new cars. The racer cars are more expensive and the street racers more expensive again so will likely work your way upto the fastest street racers while still falling back on derby and race class to earn your money. Lots of cool minigames that involve launching your driver out the car to hit high jump, bowling, skipping stones etc. I say mini games they are really well done. Its got music from Audioslave, Rob Zombie etc but honestly youll prob end up turning the music off and playing your own tracks right? Sometimes you will race on the same map but the race route will be totally different and it doesnt feel lazy at all. If you ever played the racer Hydro Thunder well, gameplay feels a bit like that but on land with destructible objects and vehicles. 45 cars over 3 classes. 57 Unique race routes. Look no farther for your next arcade racer. Solid 4.5 out of 5 .

Highly Recommended

I used to play this all the time a couple years after its release. This is probably my favorite racing game I've ever played... The physics are fun, car handling feels good, and it's just a blast to play. I was pleasantly surprised when I started playing again and found out that yes of course my modern gaming computer can run the graphics settings wide open, more importantly the graphics still looks pretty darn good for a 10 year old game. If you like racing, car crashes, and explosions you can't go wrong with this game. Aside from the races there are some special events unlocked along the way to break it up a little. Actual demolition derbies, a figure 8 track, and various silly mini-games that involve ejecting the driver out of your car at a high speed should hold your attention for a while.

Hilarious fun! Highly recommended.

I enjoyed this game very much. It installed and played with no problems on LinuxMint 18.1 Cinnamon 64bit on older hardware, specifically, AMD Phenom II X6 1055T CPU, Nvidia GeForce GTX 750, and 16GB of RAM. The only technical issues I've had with it was once being unable to exit the game, sometimes with certain races you lose the engine noise of the cars, and you don't have enough time to read the hints while the race is loading. Otherwise it plays flawlessly. It's a really fun game with lots of re-playability in it. Think Mario Kart for adults. It like demolition racing. You have to finish races while trying to smash into your opponents. It has nutty side events that can either be demolition derbies which are crazy fun, and events where you have to launch your driver through the front windshield which is not as much fun. It's really a good time and has made me laugh way more than once. I would though recommend using a controller that has a slider to control the accelerator. I've been using my preference which is the keyboard, but it limits what I can drive effectively and well. As the accelerator is either full on or off. Cars with lots of power and acceleration just end up spinning out and being uncontrollable. The game does appear to have multi-player capability either locally on one screen or with other computers via LAN or Internet, but I have not tried it. Should be a fun game to play with friends this way.

Symphony of destruction

Flatout 2 is not a demanding game, I found it significally easier than first one and it's absolutely ok Bugbear did it this way! You can really relax playing this title and focus on pure wreck and destruction of everything around. No need to fear flying through the window by each scratch like before, you won't get stuck that easily too, maps are designed to encourage you to keep top speed and even nitro it up in front of obstacles, especially opponents. :) Just like in first game there are many interesting stunts but highjump is totaly screwed in my opinion. Last but not least - music, ah, that's just symbol of this series, track list is even better than used previously, fits perfectly to dynamic gameplay. Worth way more than silly 2$ they want for it on promo. You won't regret it!
