Experience the drive of your life as you throw yourself around on and off the track causing fences to shatter, tyre walls explode, water tanks and barrels fly across the track into other cars. And if anyone, including you, gets caught up in a big smash sit back and watch as the driver gets catapulted through the windscreen in spectacular effect. • 34 vehicles to wreck, 12 rag-doll mini games, 60 track combinations, and thousands and thousands of destructible objects.
  • Enjoy the mayhem while listening to a slamming soundtrack from artists including Rob Zombie, Papa Roach, Fall Out Boy, Nickelback, Wolfmother and more!

There is no racing

This game genre should be: Crashing - Hitting - Rolling - Twisting. But not racing. It really annoys me that I cann't just race. Player is forced into crashing/hitting/rolling/jumping, you name it, but not race and all with visuals. I personally hate such visuals distracting from game play and turn it off, but here it's not an option. Broken physics adds more frustration. I didn't expect realistic simulation, but I expect continuous one: at the same place with same speed on the same car the result should be the same. Also, this was first title where I've get kick back on (or even while) steering which throws car in opposite direction with all the consequences. Graphical part mostly obscures picture: you will see direct sunlight, you will see flying trash, smoke and dust behind opponent's car or just other cars but not the track. And the thing is all of this could easily be ignored if interface was just a bit more responsive: you can't just reset car back on track - push button and WAIT, try to restart race... and you cann't just do it in one-two clicks. I first tried it back 2008 and considered fun enough. Well, I've should play it for longer back then.

The Wheels Should Spin, Not The Car!

I absolutely hate this game, I found it to be the worst racer I have ever played to date. You have 8 cars in a race the other 7 rocket off into the distance leaving your slow little banger spinning uncontollably as you struggle to keep it on the track. Terrible controls, without doubt the most unenjoyable experience ever, there's only so much frustration I can handle and this game takes the biscuit. I wish I never bought it.

This is not a linux game

I bought this assuming it was a native linux game like it says, which it is not. It is a windows game packaged with an old version of wine. After speaking with a representative, I was basically told that they are allowed to lie about it and I can't do anything about it. This not being a linux game is relevant to the experience in a huge way. I could not hit 60fps on this game no matter what I did. It also had some very serious graphical artifacts. I have no idea what was causing the artifacts. My PC booted into Windows can easily hit 60fps on Cyberpunk 1080p. There is also some very serious incompatibilities with wayland with the window management. This was overall a very unpleasant experience and was the last game I will buy from Gog.

Infuriating Racing Game with Bad Physics

Most of the vehicles in the game feel like they're slipping on ice and the only ones that handle well enough are too slow for later races. There are tracks that have near 90 degree turns. On tops of all that, it's common to be in first place and crash fifty feet in front on the finish line because of the ridiculous physics objects or get rammed by an opponent and spin nearly 180 degrees. The very first time I played, I drove for over 100 metres with an opponent parked on the hood of my car. On the plus side, the game is cheap and has a nice soundtrack- it includes tracks from Audioslave and Megadeth among other halfway decent rock/metal groups. The graphics are also pretty good for a game this old, but not amazing by any standard. Performance is also okay and it never crashed for me and started without any tinkering. Works fine on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit with a GTX 750 Ti and i7-2600 and 8GB RAM. It also works fine on my main rig with a Ryzen 5 3600 and GTX 1660 Super and 16GB RAM and Windows 10.
