Infuriating Racing Game with Bad Physics
Most of the vehicles in the game feel like they're slipping on ice and the only ones that handle well enough are too slow for later races. There are tracks that have near 90 degree turns. On tops of all that, it's common to be in first place and crash fifty feet in front on the finish line because of the ridiculous physics objects or get rammed by an opponent and spin nearly 180 degrees. The very first time I played, I drove for over 100 metres with an opponent parked on the hood of my car. On the plus side, the game is cheap and has a nice soundtrack- it includes tracks from Audioslave and Megadeth among other halfway decent rock/metal groups. The graphics are also pretty good for a game this old, but not amazing by any standard. Performance is also okay and it never crashed for me and started without any tinkering. Works fine on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit with a GTX 750 Ti and i7-2600 and 8GB RAM. It also works fine on my main rig with a Ryzen 5 3600 and GTX 1660 Super and 16GB RAM and Windows 10.
