Description
Dr. Rosalene and Dr. Watts have peculiar jobs: They give people another chance to live, all the way from the very beginning... but only in their patients' heads.

Due to the severity of the operation, the new life becomes the last thing the patients remember before drawing their last breath. Thus, the operation is only done to people on their deathbeds, to fulfill what they wish they had done with their lives, but didn’t.

Finding Paradise is the 2nd full episode of To the Moon's series. It follows the life of the doctors' new patient, Colin, as they attempt to unravel a life that is split down the middle, and fulfill a wish that appears to be self-contradictory by nature.

Like To the Moon, this is a standalone full game that does not require having played any previous games in the series.

Touching story - Lots of dialogues

The story is about fulfilling a dying man's life wish. The two actors have a lot of funny/cynical dialogues as they seem to be used on doing this (granting dying peoples last wish). This counteracts the story itself and on some points i found myself trying to click the dialogue away as i wanted the story to continue. A "good" intention with shoddy characters that remambered me to rpg-maker games. Great music. I found the story touching and interesting but hated the (in my point of view) irrelevant somewhat cynical comments of the main characters.

Finding Paradise

An emotional adventure game about two employees for a company who delve into the mind of the dying to let them experience their dying wish as if it had actually happened. Worth a try if you enjoyed the previous game, To The Moon. Apparently the timeline of the games is To The Moon, Sigmund Mini-episode (minisode) 1, A Bird Story, Mini-episode 2, Finding Paradise. The Mini-episodes are bonuses for To The Moon. I didn't enjoy A Bird Story and you don't really need to play it to play this game. To The Moon and the minisodes are pretty much required for the world (not patient) history.

Too high standards from To The Moon

It may be possible I turned into a heartless mofo, but this game hasn't touched me as strong as To The Moon (even The Bird's Story has been more emotional IMHO). But it's still a nice game from Freebird Games team.

Pewdiepie made me buy this!

Was watching pewdipie videos just to make noises in background while I was doing something else, then this Finding Paradise playlist came up, the first few portions of the game was okay at best, perfect for background play anyway. The the rest of the game is awesome, well paced, deep character building, light but spot on comedic placement, and most of all, the feels it gave me. Never felt anything like this in a long time, out of nowhere the emotional trains just hit me. I forgot when was the last time I shed a tears. This game is a masterpiece, I probably will never have time to play this, but because it's just so damn good, I feel bad to just watch the entire gameplay from youtube for free, I went straight to this place to buy the game. Nonetheless, shout out to Kan Gao and his team for this game, looking forward to see the next installment.

Not good.

I played To the Moon and watched the paper plane game's playthrough before I played Finding Paradise. I have to say this one is way worse than To the Moon. The story itself is... not so much as a story. As usual you walkthrough the patient's life and try to fulfill his dying wish. On the way, there's a twist, but not big enough to blow me away. As opposed to the predecessor, the two doctors' characteristic has been established. And if you know the paper plane story, you already knew something about the patient too. So I'd say there is NO character development in this story. The patient's life is not that memorable and touching either. Nothing in this game made me cry. Not even a wet eye. There are funny lines in it though. I'd recommend you watch it for free on YouTube and come back to buy it if you really like it. I wish I did.
