FAR: Lone Sails

Really beautiful game with a lovely soundtrack and unique environmental storytelling.

A beautiful journey of puzzle solving! Intriguing and peaceful...for a while! Lol. Loved it!

You help a little fellow move a steam-operated vehicle in a post-apocalyptic world with no one else. Not the deepest or most complex game out there. But beautiful, with lovely landscapes and sound design. If you've played "Little nightmares" or "Limbo" it's a similar aesthetic without the horror elements. Got it for 1.50EUR, it's a no brainer.

This is a little bit like a mix of walking, or rather driving, simulator, where the player plays as a kind of train conductor providing his machine with fuel, repairs, etc. The special vehicle has sails, and other gimmicks. Also more functions will be picked-up on the way. Fun and relaxing to wind down after a long day.

While I could simply just enjoy this game by watching the scenery pass by, I love how involved it can be while also giving you tim to relax and enjoy the beautiful world around you. FAR invovles a cool little vehicle which you use to travel the vast landscape of a forgotten world. While traveling you encounter obstacles and puzzles which block you along your journey. While in the beginning running your vehicle can be very busy you get some pretty awesome upgrades through solving certain puzzles. These upgrades help manage your vehicle easier and provide better mobility across the unforgiving terrain. I have not beaten the game yet. Honestly, I do not want to. There's nothing I love more than just being able to sit back and relax while letting this game just pass before my eyes. Certainly a blast for a casual game. So far, without what seems to be anything threatening a loss scenario.
