Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition

I played through this game several times. On my PS3 and later on my PC. The game is a great Fallout game. A 3D game, similar in view to Fallout 3. If you enjoyed F3 you will probably enjoy this one. As most games this is not perfect, but IMO it has nothing bad enough to even consider not playing it. The game is a more refined version of previous Fallout games, especially Fallout 3. My favorite part perhaps being that you can look down the scope with all weapons instead of the very 90s shoot from the hip view. As an RPG, a Fallout RPG, it is superb for what it is. You find yourself in an expected position and you start on a mission to get revenge. How you proceed and what you do is entirely up to you. There are so many things to do, both in main story and sidequests, that you can spend 100s of hours, easily. If you like Fallout, if you like Mad Max, if you like post apocalyptic settings for your entertainment, this is a must.

The best of the modern Fallout titles. The depth of New Vegas cannot be overstated. Combine this with the two huge mods, Project Nevada and A World of Pain, and you've got a game you might never stop playing.

While Fallout 3 brought new life to the Fallout world, and was fantastic in its own right, Fallout New Vegas holds a place apart. It took the events of 1 and 2 and concluded that arc in a very satisfying way. It also has some of the best DLC content of any Fallout game, most particularly Old World Blues. Alternating between dark nostalgic scifi futurism, a grim apocalypse and layers of black humor, the Obsidian team took great care crafting this gem.

First off, thank you GOG for putting this amazing game on the best DRM-free platform. I've been waiting for this. I'm not very good at writing reviews but here you go: This game is absoloutly amazing, everyone should play it. You don't want to miss out on this massive role-playing experience with a heavy focus on player freedom. With many and diverse quest, great characters and interesting storyline. Plus all the different factions you can help or fight. Oh yea, it's freaking VEGAS! With Casinos, gambling and corruption (just to name a few). Lots and lots of different weapons and armour/clothing to suit your playstyle. A must play for any role-playing or just open world fan out there. And what's more, it's drm-free (which these single-play only games shoud be)

Be like most people and play it through as a good guy: Help people, do good things, be good and moral and just. It's a tremendous amount of fun and completely satisfying as an Angel of the Mojave. Or, take a walk on the dark side of life and be a completely evil rascal. Do horrible, awful things to innocent people who don't deserve it, Just to be a narcissistic, self-serving asshole. This is also a tremendous amount of fun although personally I've found that Destroyer of the Mojave isn't quite as satisfying. But that's just me. You are free to do you. Fallout New Vegas has got you covered either way, or any point in between. There are seemingly infinite paths through this game, and all are deep and rich, and exciting and satisfying. You'll play it through several times and be amazed at how many different ways there are of doing things. In short, this game is legendary for a lot of solid reasons that will not disappoint. If you're on the fence about this one just get off the fence and jump in.
