We are very grateful for the amazing attention Fallout London is receiving and want to thank you all for the great feedback! We're working hard to fix the reported technical issues and expect to release an update soon. Thank you for your patience and support!
Many of the reported issues appear to stem from missing one of the installation steps outlined below. While we work on improving the installation experience, please ensure you follow all the steps carefully.
- Team FOLON®
Fallout London is a total conversion mod made by Team FOLON® for Fallout 4 GOTY and requires you to own the base game on either GOG or Steam.
How to install and play Fallout London:
If you own Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition on Steam, please click here to access the installation's instructions provided by Team FOLON®. You will have to downgrade your version, then install the Fallout: London via our dedicated launcher.
Install Fallout London via GOG GALAXY and launch it.
Follow the launcher’s instructions, and enjoy!
A Polite Disclaimer
In typical imperial British fashion, Fallout: London will take over your Fallout 4 installation. Installing Fallout: London will make irreversible changes to the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition installation. You’ll also need to disable cloud saves (as the save folder is shared between the game and the mod). If you’d like to play the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition again, you’ll need to uninstall the game and the mod, and then reinstall Fallout 4: GOTY Edition.
Summary
Fallout: London lets you explore a dishevelled London set in the Fallout universe. It overhauls Fallout 4 with a new story, new weapons, London-centric items and a vast recreation of the ruined city to explore.
Fallout: London is a free total conversion mod for Fallout 4, available to anyone who owns the base game and all of its DLCs. It is developed non-commercially by Team FOLON, many of whom are proud London residents or expats.

incredible what theyve done in this game and so fun, when i can play it. after play for a few hours crash free i exited from a building into london and bam, desktop. after this i came off for the night and tried continuing the next day. i loaded up fallout london but when trying to continue my save i wasnt making it past the loading screen without crashing. so unfortunate, however i am confident they will fix it in the future. shame the hype will have died down before that.
Better wait for major fixes.
CTDs, freezes, infinite loading(bethesda's fubar). Incompatibility with other mods. Broken dialogues. Legendary drops guns that can't be found on ordinary enemies or in vendors offers like handmade AR(nuka-world) or lever action rifle (far harbor). Well there's more but i better go through major points of gameplay.
Weapons:
- German lugers are more common than Webley revolvers and Handmade crudes. Where is Welrod?
- Brits got majority of self defense revolvers named as Bull Dog. Where are they?
- Combat shotguns more common than crude ones.
Armor:
Some light clothes such as vagabond attire cant be used with ballistic weave. Only hats.
Quests:
- Some of quests have fouled up depedencies in stages like "Memories of Syd" that progresses with main branch of vagabond quests.
- When you clear British museum before 5th column quests and rush there for the books. Mainframe(library) room is inaccessable via locked doors that scripted to be opened by first time visit.
-Broken dialogues.
This review brought to you by -that sub quest- because I couldn't stop laughing, cheers to you lot that wrote that one.
This game is a titanic undertaking and while definitely more than a lil rough, with the crashes everyone complains about, and my own pet peeve: the comical load times (london outside takes ~1 min to load on a gen 4 ssd with 32gb ram - if i get one wish PLEASE make the loads quick, i could stomach the crashes then), it has SOO MUCH to offer: whole bunch of new and wild perks, fabulous weaponry and mods, top tier writing from what I've been able to glean so far, and pristine voice acting.
To those comparing it to New Vegas, you're right. Haven't had this much fun since NV. And those that remember that launch will also remember what kind of crashes and bugs were shipped. I'm praying the team has the opportunity to polish it up because this game (not a mod, this is its own bloody game) deserves its spot in the classics.
I really do want to love this game. I really do. The amount of work Team FOLON has put into this is amazing. All the little touches that it make feel unique but yet still very much Fallout are absolutely wonderful, but the crashing. OH MY GOD THE CRASHING!!!!!! I've used the Buffout 4 mod to help the experience but I honestly can't tell if it has helped. I'm constantly crashing. Now with that said, I do think that there is something very special here and I can't wait to continue exploring London. However, I'm afraid I'm gonna have to wait until the fix is in.
Took some work at first making sure it could run proper then never ran into issues; I put it on the level with New Vegas for a solid Fallout ARPG experience. The ending was wonderfully English. I played the story through on a Camelot playthrough and had a great time. Lots of true to form places. Themesfolk were natural additives to the setting. I know from backend that the team had issues getting it out of the shelf for people to play and all the more you can feel the passion in the project through and through. Thank you Fallon team for some top quality work!
