We are very grateful for the amazing attention Fallout London is receiving and want to thank you all for the great feedback! We're working hard to fix the reported technical issues and expect to release an update soon. Thank you for your patience and support!
Many of the reported issues appear to stem from missing one of the installation steps outlined below. While we work on improving the installation experience, please ensure you follow all the steps carefully.
- Team FOLON®
Fallout London is a total conversion mod made by Team FOLON® for Fallout 4 GOTY and requires you to own the base game on either GOG or Steam.
How to install and play Fallout London:
If you own Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition on Steam, please click here to access the installation's instructions provided by Team FOLON®. You will have to downgrade your version, then install the Fallout: London via our dedicated launcher.
Install Fallout London via GOG GALAXY and launch it.
Follow the launcher’s instructions, and enjoy!
A Polite Disclaimer
In typical imperial British fashion, Fallout: London will take over your Fallout 4 installation. Installing Fallout: London will make irreversible changes to the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition installation. You’ll also need to disable cloud saves (as the save folder is shared between the game and the mod). If you’d like to play the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition again, you’ll need to uninstall the game and the mod, and then reinstall Fallout 4: GOTY Edition.
Summary
Fallout: London lets you explore a dishevelled London set in the Fallout universe. It overhauls Fallout 4 with a new story, new weapons, London-centric items and a vast recreation of the ruined city to explore.
Fallout: London is a free total conversion mod for Fallout 4, available to anyone who owns the base game and all of its DLCs. It is developed non-commercially by Team FOLON, many of whom are proud London residents or expats.

the game starts off good. create character. instantly crashes. thats fine. i was able to reload and and pull off where if saved after creation. i clear room before going to other room to the left after leaving first room. clean and pick up cool gog shirt. dont see the door you are supposed to walk through and walk through the fire and instantly die. fire did not look hot enough in normal bethesda standards to know it would do damage much less kill you. then crashes. i rinse and repeat but find the door i missed the fist time. kill rats and whatnot and follow path to leave. crash. darnit. do all this again. this time manage to take the train but crashes aat the loading screen. AHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. talk with the gang and follow them. help get medkit. but when i pickup the medkit. i get a screen freeze before the impending doom. ANOTHER CRASH. sad. i think the story so far is SUPER fun just by what i see but its hard to enjoy with the crashes.
The install process is terrible. The "downgrader" required to install looks like something a Nigerian Prince would ask you to install so that he can "wire you 2.5 million $ US" It "looks like" it has been "downgrading" for 3 hours. There is no process bar, and I am starting to suspect I will need to wipe my hard drive and reinstall everything when I am finished.
The 2 hours or so I've manage to actually play the game have been solid C+ material. It's too dark to see a lot of things (including the door you have to go through to exit the first hallway, which is right across from a well lit door with nothing important behind it), enemies are unreasonably deadly (getting 3 shot by a ghoul with 7 endurance, losing 60% or more of my health to one attack from a FOX of all things, MORE THAN ONCE), and guns are oddly hard to come by in the early game, which is a fine decision for story and roleplay reasons, but then you DO get a gun and it feels like it shoots cotton balls and half of the time they turn into smoke midair instead of hitting the target at all (even with high perception and agility).
All of these things would be acceptable annoyances for a game made for free by a small team and for which I am thankful to even be able to play. I can turn down the difficulty, I guess, but even on easy I was having the issues above, but I can't excuse my main problem.
The crashes. I have not been able to play more than 20 minutes a stretch AT BEST before the game crashes. It crashes more than New Vegas. It crashes more than Hunt Down the Freeman. It crashes all the time and for no good reason at all. I wish I could make a joke about "throw grande? crash. Fast Travel? crash" but I can't because the crashes seem to happen entirely at random.
This, coupled with 30-45 second load times for any outdoor cell and the experience is miserable. I'm running the game from HDD, but Fallout 4 doesn't have the same loading issue as this does, so I can only assume it's the mod's fault.
If the game didn't crash every 10 minutes (or sometimes as little as less than 30 seconds after loading in I'm Not Joking) it could be pretty good. but as it stands, it's basically unplayable.
