Many of the reported issues appear to stem from missing one of the installation steps outlined below. While we work on improving the installation experience, please ensure you follow all the steps carefully.

Fallout London is a total conversion mod made by Team FOLON® for Fallout 4 GOTY and requires you to own the base game on either GOG or Steam.
In typical imperial British fashion, Fallout: London will take over your Fallout 4 installation. Installing Fallout: London will make irreversible changes to the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition installation. You’ll also need to disable cloud saves (as the save folder is shared between the game and the mod). If you’d like to play the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition again, you’ll need to uninstall the game and the mod, and then reinstall Fallout 4: GOTY Edition.
Fallout: London lets you explore a dishevelled London set in the Fallout universe. It overhauls Fallout 4 with a new story, new weapons, London-centric items and a vast recreation of the ruined city to explore.
Fallout: London is a free total conversion mod for Fallout 4, available to anyone who owns the base game and all of its DLCs. It is developed non-commercially by Team FOLON, many of whom are proud London residents or expats.
There has never been a better time to sample the capital’s delights! Fallout: London lets you explore the wonders of the city 160 years after the bombs have dropped, and 40 years before the events of Fallout 3. You can now reimagine Fallout in a London-centric universe, interacting with a brave new world of London-based locations, stories, factions, creatures, weapons, and gameplay mechanics.
The Gentry-dominated London stands on a knife-edge, and you may be the key to which way the guillotine falls. Play a new story set in London with a fresh character beginning, numerous conflicting factions to engage with and multiple story paths and endings with up to 90 hours of gameplay. Just be aware of what terrible secrets you may uncover in the shadowy gaps amidst the halls of power.
Discover new weapons, creatures, clothing, items, collectables, architecture, foliage and NPCs to complete the London setting. Interact through the world with your custom Atta-boy, with a fresh interface based on the UK’s life-saving Protect and Survive nuclear information campaign.

can't install
the downgrade tool doesn't do anything so I can't install the game. It just sits for hours and doesn't do anything. restarted multiple times and it stops at the same point. cool idea but can't play so ehhh

I just like to give this a full star review seprate from gameplay but just the fact gog hosted this and the mod creators were so invested i gotta still give it 5 on that merit cheers and i hope i get sucked in this world.

A New Fallout Experience
I'm thoroughly enjoying myself so far. While a bit involved to get running, especially on the Steam version, there are guides and videos aplenty to help guide you through the process. Once running it's a completely new experience. And it's hard. But it's been a long time since there has been a new Fallout game and this definitely fills the bill. I expect to explore London for many, many hours. Great job by the FOLON team, and I can't wait to see what comes next from them!

The Train...
Yup. The train then boom! gone! I also had to skip the intro movie after clicking on new game because I could only get the first frame of the movie to play then it froze. Just spammed "skip". I WILL update review if I can play it, so far it feels like a well produced game.

FOLON - a labor of love to the community
This game shows why independent hobbiests are better than game companies now. They are able to handcraft and make what they want to do, out of passion. They dont have to put in work thats forced by higher-ups on them. They dont have to cut content that they view as not marketable. The amount of detail in this world is insane. Yes there are some bugs. But its a free game. 100+ hours of content for free. in my 25 Hours of playtime ive had 1 quest be broken. Alot of AAA games are buggy beyond repair on release (AKA Cyberpunk until 2 years later), and you have to pay $60+ for those. If you have problems please make sure you follow all the notes written for installing this properly, 80% of problems are due to people not following simple directions. If you still have problems with crashing after downloading everything correctly, then here are some things to download. 1. - https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/33946?tab=files (XSE Plugin Preloader, needed for most mods) 2. - https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/47359?tab=files (Buffout 4, fixes alot of crashes) 3. - After Buffout 4 is downloaded go into Data>F4SE>Plugins>Buffout4>Config.toml and set Memory Manager to false. Then go back into the Plugins folder and find BakaScrapHeap.toml and change its Memory Multiplyer to 4 3. - https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/48078?tab=files OR manually turn off weapon debris 4. - https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/44798?tab=files (High Fps Physics Fix) You need to go into its settings and manually adjust properties to your liking/machine unless you wanna run the defualt ones. Doing all of this correctly will fix 99% of all crashes. The other 1% of crashes that will happen should be reported to the Devs on discord. If your still having problems, please join their discord and ask questions. multiple developers have spent the last few days helping people. Thank you to the dev team for everything youve done. Most importantly though, Mind the Gap.
