Many of the reported issues appear to stem from missing one of the installation steps outlined below. While we work on improving the installation experience, please ensure you follow all the steps carefully.

Fallout London is a total conversion mod made by Team FOLON® for Fallout 4 GOTY and requires you to own the base game on either GOG or Steam.
In typical imperial British fashion, Fallout: London will take over your Fallout 4 installation. Installing Fallout: London will make irreversible changes to the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition installation. You’ll also need to disable cloud saves (as the save folder is shared between the game and the mod). If you’d like to play the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition again, you’ll need to uninstall the game and the mod, and then reinstall Fallout 4: GOTY Edition.
Fallout: London lets you explore a dishevelled London set in the Fallout universe. It overhauls Fallout 4 with a new story, new weapons, London-centric items and a vast recreation of the ruined city to explore.
Fallout: London is a free total conversion mod for Fallout 4, available to anyone who owns the base game and all of its DLCs. It is developed non-commercially by Team FOLON, many of whom are proud London residents or expats.
There has never been a better time to sample the capital’s delights! Fallout: London lets you explore the wonders of the city 160 years after the bombs have dropped, and 40 years before the events of Fallout 3. You can now reimagine Fallout in a London-centric universe, interacting with a brave new world of London-based locations, stories, factions, creatures, weapons, and gameplay mechanics.
The Gentry-dominated London stands on a knife-edge, and you may be the key to which way the guillotine falls. Play a new story set in London with a fresh character beginning, numerous conflicting factions to engage with and multiple story paths and endings with up to 90 hours of gameplay. Just be aware of what terrible secrets you may uncover in the shadowy gaps amidst the halls of power.
Discover new weapons, creatures, clothing, items, collectables, architecture, foliage and NPCs to complete the London setting. Interact through the world with your custom Atta-boy, with a fresh interface based on the UK’s life-saving Protect and Survive nuclear information campaign.

Get past the jank, and it's great
Yes there are bugs, yes it's hard to install. Get past all of that, and the game is as Fallout as any other game in the franchise. Well done.

Pretty Fun!
It's fun playing FO4 again without knowing anything! I'll say it starts a bit slow and I'm knocking off a star because actually getting to play it was a big chore, but I'm really really looking forward to seeing everything this game has to offer. Huge thanks to the Falon crew!

Won´t even load into the game
Even after buying F4 on gog for an "easy" install, it simply won´t work. While no expert, I´m not a stranger to modding and have spent houndreds of hours in modded F4 and Skyrim. Yet I can´t get past the very first loading screen after selecting a new game. I´ve tried clean installs, I´ve disabled cloudsaves, I´ve tried with buffout and other added mods that are supposed to help, I´ve tried manually editing .ini files... nothing helps. The mod is far from polished and it makes me wonder what special magic this whole gog-partnership was supposed to have done. I feel lied to and feel like I´ve unnecessarily spent money on a game that I technically already own. (and no, after spending several hours the steam version fares no better)

Looks just like London.
It’s crazy how it looks just like London, I’m a few hours in and just want to know… when are the bombs going to drop? I can’t wait to see what this dungheep looks like when it’s an irradiated wasteland. For real though this is a mod bigger than the full game file size, it’s not a fully built from scratch fallout game so don’t expect it to run flawlessly. Crashes are a part of the development and gaming process for a game this big DON’T expect it to run flawlessly within the first few weeks or months after launch. Don’t be overly critical over things you can’t do better just enjoy something that’s been put out for FREE after years of tireless work by the developers. Class game though (don’t get me wrong it still crashes once in a while but it’s really not that deep)

Better than official Bethesda Fallout...
The expected technical launch issues aside - which I had none of, and I suspect just installing Fallout: London over a completely virgin install of the GOG version of Fallout 4 (already at the required build version of 1.10.163.0, no downgrading necessary) had a lot to do with that - and despite being just 2 hours into it I can already tell that this is something truly special, that, especially in this day and age of soulless, profit- and checking-off-boxes-driven AAA slop could only have been achieved by fans. For fans. The 4 years of blood, sweat and tears that were put into this is positively palpable. Truly a labour of love, in every aspect. Particularly love how unapologetically Bri'ish everything is.
