I was told this was a post-apocalypse...

We are very grateful for the amazing attention Fallout London is receiving and want to thank you all for the great feedback! We're working hard to fix the reported technical issues and expect to release an update soon. Thank you for your patience and support!
Many of the reported issues appear to stem from missing one of the installation steps outlined below. While we work on improving the installation experience, please ensure you follow all the steps carefully.
- Team FOLON®
Fallout London is a total conversion mod made by Team FOLON® for Fallout 4 GOTY and requires you to own the base game on either GOG or Steam.
In typical imperial British fashion, Fallout: London will take over your Fallout 4 installation. Installing Fallout: London will make irreversible changes to the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition installation. You’ll also need to disable cloud saves (as the save folder is shared between the game and the mod). If you’d like to play the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition again, you’ll need to uninstall the game and the mod, and then reinstall Fallout 4: GOTY Edition.
Fallout: London lets you explore a dishevelled London set in the Fallout universe. It overhauls Fallout 4 with a new story, new weapons, London-centric items and a vast recreation of the ruined city to explore.
Fallout: London is a free total conversion mod for Fallout 4, available to anyone who owns the base game and all of its DLCs. It is developed non-commercially by Team FOLON, many of whom are proud London residents or expats.
There has never been a better time to sample the capital’s delights! Fallout: London lets you explore the wonders of the city 160 years after the bombs have dropped, and 40 years before the events of Fallout 3. You can now reimagine Fallout in a London-centric universe, interacting with a brave new world of London-based locations, stories, factions, creatures, weapons, and gameplay mechanics.
The Gentry-dominated London stands on a knife-edge, and you may be the key to which way the guillotine falls. Play a new story set in London with a fresh character beginning, numerous conflicting factions to engage with and multiple story paths and endings with up to 90 hours of gameplay. Just be aware of what terrible secrets you may uncover in the shadowy gaps amidst the halls of power.
Discover new weapons, creatures, clothing, items, collectables, architecture, foliage and NPCs to complete the London setting. Interact through the world with your custom Atta-boy, with a fresh interface based on the UK’s life-saving Protect and Survive nuclear information campaign.

An unstable start
So far I am loving the look and style of the game. The intro is impressive (They got the 6th and 7th Doctors as the scientist voice actors!) but like a lot of other people I am getting crashes after getting on the train. I am using Buffout 4 with this mod as suggested but it doesn't seem to fix the crashing. Excited to get back into this game once the stability has been improved with a few patches.

That is good, but it is a disaster
First of all, there is a good plot here. There are interesting weapons, interesting armor... The corrected balance is especially pleasing. You become very vulnerable, but your opponents can also die from a couple of accurate shots. The vanilla version of Fallout 4 seemed too casual for me. This mod fixed the injustices. In general, It is noticeable that the developers tried to create an interesting and unique product. However, the technical component still leaves much to be desired. I play it, I get hurt, but I keep playing. Because I see the potential of this mod. I hope that after some time the bugs will be fixed and this mod will be brilliant.

Huge acomplishment
It's funny to think that the most complicated total conversion mod for Fallout 4 came out first (we still wait for Cascadia, Miami and classic Fallout remakes). They had to change most of the assets to fit english style, all of the items, buildings, weapons. I know, game is buggy, but in my case it's not a broken mess and is playable. If you worried about bugs then wait a few months, devs are very responsive on their discord, they will surely fix what they can. If you want to play now then I wouldn't recommend doing 100% playthrough, while main quest is mostly bug free, side content might be bugged so stick to main quest and save full playthrough for later.

Amazing work but way too unstable
This is a free overhaul mod, so anyone deciding to try this out needs to understand going in that crashes and glitches are going to happen, and this is true even for official Bethesda releases so this really shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. That said, I am surprised at how unstable this release is for something that is being promoted on GOG. I feel as though I've barely scratched the surface of Fallout London. What little I have been able to see so far has been amazing story telling, amazing environments, great moody music, great voice acting and compelling world-building that is constantly sidetracking me away from quest lines. Unfortunately, I can no longer load my last save file. The game crashes every time my last save is loaded. I'm not sure if this is a corrupted save file issue (probably) or something that is not loading correctly within the game itself at the save point (maybe). I really don't want to start over because I literally just established my first settlement and finally cleared my inventory. To be blunt, I don't want to jump through more hoops to try to get the game to work again, I just want to play the game. Yes, Buffout 4 is installed and working. Yes I uploaded the crash log. As far as I'm concerned, if I can't play the game because it's broken, I would rather play something else than try to get it working again even after all the time I invested getting this mod overhaul to work in the first place. I very badly wanted play Fallout London, so much so that I literally bought a second copy of Fallout 4 GOTY on GOG because I was having too much trouble getting Fallout London to work with my Steam copy. Even with a financial investment into getting this to work, I've reached my limit of frustration and I'd rather just wait and see if the team releases a bug fix update. If that happens and it fixes my problem, I'll revise this review, but for now unfortunately I can't recommend it because it is just not ready for the average player.
