Game runs well on windows 10

The game runs pretty well on winows 10 pro with newest update without any issues. I've been playing the game for 22 hrs without any crashes now. Despite it's flaws, Fallout 3 is still a very enjoyable and one of the best open world RPG I've ever played. Love everything I've experienced in this game. The main story lines, side quest, characters and music etc... are very decent in this game. Definitely will recommend this game.

No hassle version

I had both this and New Vegas on Steam, but I had stopped playing both of them due to game breaking bugs. When I saw them on sale here, and with 1 and 2 thrown in for free, I'd had both of these way back on floppies, long fossilized.) I grabbed them both. Both were far better out of the "box", and were easier to set up with FOSE/NVSE and mods. I have never regretted this a bit. I also have done this with the Stalker and Metro series', I'm getting closer to being Steam Free.

It's 100% worth playing

Let me start by saying New Vegas is my favourite Fallout game. Anyway, Fallout 3 is a great game that's definitely worth playing. A lot of the Obsidian fanboys will blindly hate on this game, overlooking all the things it does well. Altough it has less depth as an RPG than New Vegas, something that Fallout 3 does very well is atmosphere. I feel kinda mixed on the big dumb green filter, but it does add to the atmosphere of a post nuclear wasteland and if you really don't like it there's a mod that removes it. The world is super fun to explore with many interesting locations, cool weapons and (generally) good DLC's. And lastly, without Fallout 3 paving the way we would never have had New Vegas. Also it crashes less than New Vegas for me, so that's nice.

Literally selling a broken game.

I had heard that the GOG version worked better than the Steam version but that is clearly not the case. The game crashes upon the beginning of a new game, so it is being sold in a broken state like the Steam version. So you have to go through a whole bunch of Youtube tutorials and technical junk to even START THE GAME. Very disappointing that they are allowed to sell a game in this poorly optimized state. Also, no controllers work with it off the bat so you have to install more crap to get that working unless you want MnK. Once you get all that done, you still have to deal with the frequent crashes which is just the game in it's natural state unfortunately. It's just not worth it, and it's a shame because it is a great game underneath all of that. Oh well...
