Fallout

I have this in my library as "Classic". I am guessing that it has been censored in some way as most of the extras are gone and the game play has been censored too it would appear. Great game in its original form uncensored.

Please give us back the original version of the game!

Just use Fallout Fixt, you guys. I bought the game from here on GOG then got Fallout Fixt and it runs without lots of the problems mentioned in reviews here. Kids, swears, drugs, all of it is still in Fallout Fixt.

Ah, Fallout. Fallout is a complex game to learn in the beginning, but once you got the hang of it the game sticks with you. It's a game of exploration with no handholding or map marker to guide you. The only instruction you receive in the beginning is "the water chip might be in a nearby vault" and that is pretty much it. A lot of people like Fallout 2 better than Fallout 1, but I seriously have to disagree. Fallout 1 is a very mature game, the fun and jokes of Fallout 2 are there, but not so obvious. The environments stay with you because they make you feel like you are on an important quest. With the exception of Junktown all locations play an important part in the game - you never feel like you are wasting your time. Unlike Fallout 2 the game also ends when you are "done" with it and the 8-10 hours of gameplay (for an experienced player) is just perfect. Fallout is an amazing experience that make you want to play more, or play the game in a different way. A tip for beginners regarding character creation is to set up your guide according to the following (gifted sniper): Traits - fast shot (fire more, but no aimed shots) - gifted (get more SPECIAL points) SPECIAL S: 5 P: 8 E: 4 C: 2 I: 9 A: 10 L: 9 Tag skills - small guns - repair - lockpick And when you are out there... say hello to ZAX from me.

GOOD: The whole game. The graphics, atmosphere, music, story. It's still great after 23 years... BAD: The censorship is unnecessary and it crashes quite a bit on Win10. I feel that the publisher should make the ultimate official patch after 23 yrs and still selling this game and it's sequels.
