Factorio

I bought this on another platfrom when it went on sale. Like most people, I do have accounts on other platforms and I buy things when they go on sale so I can afford to play. Aside from platform issues and work arounds, when reviews are looking at other factory games, they are always compared to Factorio. This game has pretty well set the standards for factory games and that alone says pretty well everything. It's like Lego (c) for adults and emerging adults. I have hundreds of hours played on this game and I can loose track of all time as I engage in puting the pieces together how I like. Playing this game unlocked a whole new genre of games for me and now I simply love playing factory games; but I still always compare them to Factorio. BTW: I do not think that there is another factory builder game that can do as much as Factorio in what it does (regardles of 2D, 2 1/2D, or 1st person). So whatever platform you can get this game on I would recommend to get it and give yourself a long block of time to relax, watch some tutoiral videos and just start slow.

This game is problem solving and puzzles in a way, Build and expend all you can, but remember to secure your fronts or you will pay for it! Vanilla is OK, but Factorio with mods? Holy fuck! I have games with over 100h no problems And don't turn of the enemies... Or well when you know who the game work more or less. Play the game with enemies, it forces you to rethink and not forget to protect your stuff. And with mods, the game will be more complex and sooo much more stuff to do and things to figure out. But heck, it's a lot of fun!

Don't do it! Save yourself RIGHT NOW and click away! This review is based off the "off the website" version from Factorio.com which I got a while ago. I have been playing Factorio since the early days (before oil refining was implemented) and after what I am embarrassed to say might be ~200 hrs I still find myself looking up from the game 5 hours after I loaded up my map to "just check on my steel production real quick" and wondering how it happened again. I've played this game on a windows machine as well as on a 2013 MacBook Air and it runs beautifully on both. (After about 70 hours when it takes several minutes to DRIVE across my factory and I have hundreds of robots dashing about the MacBook Air will start getting hot, that's how I know to start a new map.) The game is addicting, I'm constantly learning better ways to play the game, new tricks and designs to try out. The modding community is amazing and has some incredible support, and once they drop .13 it's only going to get better. The developers are always putting out meaningful updates and bug fixes regularly which makes me come back to play more every few months if I somehow move on to another game. Make sure that you look up some information just to get the start of the game down or run through the campaign/tutorials (I've never played through them but I've heard they are good) I don't review things, but this game and these devs deserve as many good words as I can type out on a page. If you like worrying about how you are going to get ammunition to your remote mining bases on your train system while still getting the raw ore back efficiently to your Mega-Smelting block, Buy It. If you like seeing waves of Bugs crash against your walls and melt in front of your turrets, which then get automatically repaired by automatic bots tied to your production line, Buy It. If you want to fall asleep wondering if you need to add in another oil refinery to increase your rubber production, Buy It. Just buy it

Great game , very addicting. Graphics and soundtrack is beautiful. No issues with updates. Was a little confusing initially to create Factorio account for it to check for patches. Very glad I bought from GOG as opposed to others.

Factorio is awesome. The development I've seen so far is amazing and the modding community has the opportunity to make this a real gem. The simplicity of the game grows into the most complex arrangement of your own making. I'd say this is a must-have game, along with Minecraft and Terraria. Glad to see it's appearance on GOG.
