Exiled Kingdoms

Nice sense of progression, gigantic map, tons of quests and equipment and dungeons to explore! The graphics are charming and the combat is fast, fluid, and fair...and lethal. This is NOT a walk in the part power trip. Every scrap of armor and slightly sharper sword you covet. Each enemy you fell feels like an accomplishment. It's a bit like a less reflex based version of Gothic at best. At worst I ran into a few quests that didn't register, it has crashed from startup a few times in windowed mode (but when it runs it hasn't crashed) and if you think you can grind levels by just killing random enemies you are in for a slog. This is the kind of RPG where finishing quests give you tons of loot and experience, but killing a dire wolf even if it leaves you half dead yields a handful of gold and a little blip of EXP. This does encourage you to look for rumors, quests, talk to people and poke around in caves and towers. So it's a rough diamond, but it's quite fun for what it is! If you like the World of Warcraft style loop, this is a fine lite example of that.

Charming game that you can lose yourself in. Because of the simplistic graphics you can think that it will not offer much but it does. Not a game you can play for a few hours and you know what to expect as a lot of things come later in the game. The classes are distinct enough to make it replayabable. It does have an old style feel to it but also a feel of it's own. Best played without the dungeon save where you can only save on the surface as it offers more of a challenge and force you to get stronger and play more intelligently. It's more comparable to Divine divinity than Diablo in that it's more towards the RPG style of things than action orientatedMore meaning ful quests etc.

Got more out of this game than I expected, 50+ hours and still having fun. If you like grinding and collecting loot in a satisfying rpg world you'll probably enjoy Exiled Kingdoms. On the plus side it also got a helpful forum and fleshed out wiki and the dev is still active and promised to to do some updates in 2020/2021. Totally worth the money, did not regret to buy.

This game is good. It's not going to blow your mind with super deep story or incredibly deep systems, but it is a good RPG. It is a mobile title at heart, and as such has those limitations, but in general it holds up as well as Eschalon or the Spiderweb titles. it has a decent leveling system where you unlock stats and skills, and if you like classic action RPGs, you will like the game. Well worth the cost of admission if you're looking for a fun game that isn't going to suck up hours and hours of your life.

Really, it's not even that little. This is kind of a massive world given it's one guy making on game with the only assests he could likely afford. Ignore the graphics and even the controls (both of which are pretty bad). The game itself is really well fleshed out. People compare it to Diablo, but that is a really surface level comparison. It's more like a pocket MMO, and when I say that, I mean of the Everquest variety. Where you have to farm gold and EXP from the starting area on just to be able to survive the first two dungeons. Do not walk into this like your typical ARPG, thinking you are gonna just plow through mobs of enemies. One enemy your level is a pushover. Two you can handle. Three things get hairy. Four and you're dead. All in all, this is a game for people who like to grind. But I'm really impressed with the gear and beastiary the developer has created here.
