    Great little puzzler

    The main game is a series of puzzle levels, very classic in their design and very well thought and well crafted, that introduces you every new feature gradually, so when you are at the end of the game, things get really difficult. Other available levels, once you finish the main "campaign", are much more devious, but just for the entertainment of those first levels this game is really worth of it.

    Mammals unite!

    In this game you play a goat teamed with a mouse to liberate sheep. And it works beautifully. This small game succeeds in what it sets out to do, which is confound you with platform puzzles and careful jumps. Some rooms you will work out immediately, others will elude you over several attempts, but all will feel fair once you have worked them out. The graphics are charming and the music complements it wonderfully, with chiptunes that feel like they came fresh off a Commodore 64. I heartily recommend this for an afternoon's intelligent diversion, or as a game to play in short sessions (though it's difficult to stop once you start). And it's good that the GOG includes the soundtrack (plus a second set of remixes), as you may find yourself wanting to hear the tunes again after the game is done.

    You Cannot Escape, Goat!

    Well, this is a jolly inventive platformer. Looks suitably retro, sounds great, responsive controls, inventive levels, highly addictive. I write this review having just completed the main part of the game (escaping the prison). That took me (not an elite gamer, by any stretch) 6hrs and 238 deaths! There's another world after that which is ridiculously difficult. It's not even worth attempting for an old-timer like me. That's sometimes the problem with the main game: even when you know what to do to beat it, you need precise timing and pixel-perfect precision to progress. If you make a mistake, you must restart the level. On some levels, this is extremely frustrating. That knocks the enjoyment factor a bit (there's no mid-level save feature). Overall though, well worth five bucks of your money. :-)

    Great puzzle platformer

    Incredible premise, cool retro graphics and clever level design are all to be found in this quite small game. There are many interactive pieces that form great puzzles. Game is fun and fast, however some puzzles are not only about thinking but about realy fast reflexes and timed jumps - those may take a little longer to master, as even if you know exactly what to do, it may take as much as twenty tries to actualy accomplish it, not counting tries that you must make to figure the puzzle in the first place. Great game overall.

    Wonderful Game!

    Great indie puzzle-platformer with 8-bit pixel graphics and a mystical vibe! Since I am pretty good at these types of games, it only took me about 2.5 hours to 100 percent the main campaign, but completing the incredibly hard bonus levels will take quite a bit longer. I rate this game . . . "minor spiritual experience" and I eagerly await Escape Goat 2.
