A satisfying hidden object adventure
I've played other hidden object games before but never one with such good production quality especially in the story department. This game is more of an adventure mystery/puzzle game with hidden object mechanics rather than a pure hidden object game. The story is generally a familiar one but the way the mystery is uncovered is actually pretty well done even though it's not so hard to figure out by oneself fairly early. There's decent writing with twists and turns and various characters with their motivations and roles. I had two issues with it though and that's why I'm taking a star (in fact my real score is 4.3). First, there's no fast travel although there's a map with interactive icons for the respective scenes. Clicking on them does nothing though, which is annoying because there's A LOT of backtracking. Second, and this might be related to the first one but only the devs know, is that because of the way the hidden object mechanic is integrated into the game, getting stuck without a hint of what to do next happens quite often. Eventually I figured out how to solve that but still. Unfortunately I don't have an idea how it might have been avoided. I played on Expert so maybe that's part of the difficulty. That's it. If you like hidden object games and adventure/puzzle/mystery games, then this is a perfectly good blend that satisfies.
