The game itself has an interesting concept, but unfortunately it still fails at the balacing. The controls are easy to handle. The graphics also look harmonious and you can watch the goings-on of people at work. Unfortunately, you just need too many people in the long run to get food and drink. But it's still early access, so the developers will surely work on it and expand and improve the game.
Alot like banished, but in the apocalypse. I enjoyed it until the droughts came :'( .. I can't wait to see this game wrap up development. Graphics and mechanics seemed to be at 100% but tasks seemingly appeared out of no where and I quickly almost always failed them. I lost my grip on management when everyone started dying off, naturally it spiraled out of control very qucikly once everyone started getting sick. It is definetely worth the money to support these developers and I hope they continue to improve the game as they have already done a great deal of work and it's really shapping up to be a great game!
The early game (first 50 seasons) is hard, it can be very hard. Don't be discouraged, your population will overcome it (it's the point of the game).
Worth noting that the game now is easier than when it was first released, double droubts which probably killed a lot of people playing 2 years ago are no longer a thing after a balancing patch.

I genuinely am enjoying this game, I have played the survival mode for around 300 seasons (though aside from research it's basically auto pilot at this point). In fact I think this game pretty much seemed a little like I couldn't loose without trying from maybe the 100th season if your unlucky with radiation, earlier if you lucky.
I am going to play the campaign now that I have a good grip on the game, but I am not sure I will play it again after that.
It's 100% worth the discounted price during sales, honestly at £26 full price it's still worth while, baring in mind I will probably have something between 300-400 hrs by the time I am done, those who enjoy the game enough to start over on all sorts of different maps and set ups will easily be able to reach 1000 hours.
I'm not a hardcore fan of strategy games, but Endzone has what I need : different difficulties, construction mode to enjoy building a town easily, scenarios.
The game is actually very stable, haven't encountered many bugs and clearly nothing game breaking so far.
The gameplay is quite classic, resources management and balance in your colony. There is a bit of story telling (outside the scenarios ofc) inside the game, which gives the universe consistency and depth.
The only real thing bugging me so far is the repetitive soundtrack.
Overall the game is good, cute, with adaptability in difficulty and replayability through stories and objectives.
I liked the game pretty much. Can't remember about the ads in game, but I think there were some in the main menu of the game (same for warhammer 40k mechanicus, there is an add/link for mechanicus 2 in the main menu). This makes games look pretty ugly in my opinion.
But now to the game. I got nearly all achievements except 1. This is usually not the case for me since I hate the whole achievement system in the games. But this one was fair and still challenging. I liked the graphics, they are way better then in "Surviving the Aftermath".
The difficulty of the game is still high in the beginning since you can f*ck up pretty much and it is hard to fix your mistakes. But it is possible. The management of the people and buildings was pretty nice and everything else too. All the stuff you have to research, all the events and resources you need to gather. But yes, it can be very difficult in some places.
I think if you don't like "long running" games like "Surviving the Aftermath" or "Surviving Mars" etc. then you should stay away from this game. But if you like base building and management with some challenges then this is the right thing for you.
But as others mentioned: it does not matter how good your colony is, the mechanics do not really allow you creating a second colony on the other end of the map. I tried. The problem is that your people are assigned to the buildings where they work and live. This way they can be playced on the opposing sides of the map. Your people will never make it in time to their work and then everything starts to fall apart.
I think the reviews giving it less then 3/5 are not fair. This game is easily a 3/5.
