Mouse does not work.
And nothing fixes the problem. I'm running Windows 7 and many other people besides me are also dealing with the same problem. Do NOT buy the game if you're running Windows 7 or newer OS

Great nostalgia trip.
I was excited to see an old favorite that I was itching to get back into available on GOG. I loaded it up and have played a few matches but sadly the flaws that I did not notice as a youth have become problematic. The game in conquest versus A.I. just is not paced properly. A.I. doesn't seem to raid in this game mode until the last age and then they go insane and spawn troops like crazy. This was great as a kid who could enjoy the sandbox but now it just is kinda boring. Sadly, the campaign also is slow and obtuse at times. Overall, I think it is a decent nostalgia trip but I can already see I won't be getting too much mileage out of it.

A fabulous historical strategy game!
Certainly my favourite game of all time! DMW is reasonably historically accurate. Graphics are acceptable and the campaigns are awesome!

For rabid AOE/Empire Earth Lovers Only.
Only if you really dig the genre and are not tired of trying to get thru the ages without being destroyed in the first hour. The one thing I say without hesitation, is that those of us who have the original disc, find it a pain to run this game in compatibility mode compared to the other Empire building game. Its just too much touch and go to find the right balance. So if Gog got this going and running and your have trouble with your originals running on modern pcs and systems, well here finally is the cure.
