Empire Earth Gold Edition

Nothing quite like this game, when I was younger, like 8 yrs old, my dad showed me this game and I still play it 10 years later and I have yet to get bored of it. No modern day games keep me engaged like this one, what a masterpiece.

I spent hours of my childhood playing this game and meeting again now, living my plenty young adulthood it's so pleasant bringing back all funny memories, makes me feel nostalgic :')

It aged well, just like I remember. Windows 10 playing without problems.

This game was pretty cool for its time, but the mechanics of battle didn't age well. There is no attack move command, and the units aren't very bright in terms of choosing targets. Do not buy this game unless you plan to play with friends or story (which isn't that great to begin with). The custom game computer stays with your epoch hand in hand so you can't really hunker down to tech win later. And winning, its just a grind fest. Most units work as a rock paper scissors. So you build a huge force of a unit and make a push with rock. Computer comes back with paper. You come with Scissors, they come back with rock... it goes no where. And forget about trying to control planes... or boats... It's just too much of a nightmare to coordinate any sort of combined arms which turns this into a slow WWI style back and forth. I just spent 4 games trying to make some sort of strategic push but the computer just won't quit. Age of Empires 2 is a much cleaner and polished game.

Still hoping for a HD Remaster
