Control the destiny of a fledgling civilization through as many as 500,000 years of human history. From meagre beginnings you must exploit the natural resources around you to build an empire capable of dominating the Earth. But your rise to supremacy will not go unchallenged. As was the case throughout history, rival civilizations are certain to oppose you every step of the way.

New technologies, buildings and weapons become available as your civilization progresses through history. But bear in mind that advancement does not necessarily mean success. Your civilization might flourish during one Epoch only to be crushed in the next...

The BEST strategy game ever created

This game is, without a doubt, one of the best strategy games ever created. The gameplay is similar to Ages of Empires with a MASSIVE difference, it's far more complex and waaaaaay faster. Being able to customize the civilizations creates a wide range of posibilities especially when playing in multiplayer, since the same civilization can be extremely different due to customization. The notifications can be tweaked around, although I honestly advice to leave them as they are...yes, it can be pretty annoying at the beginning feeling like we are being just spammed, with time, as you keep playing it, you will TREASURE them as they give us real-time alerts of what's going on in our gameplay. I've played this game since it was first released, and is actually (along with Monkey Island and a couple more games) the only game I've been continuously playing for years. If you've played this one before I have nothing to add since you actually know how good it is; if you've just discovered this title...go for it, you will never regret it. It does run on Windows 7, 10 and 11, might need some tweaking though, if not just play it via GOG GALAXY app. Oh! the game is completely in English but it's easy to change the language, might ask via forum to add the files around since this is just a review.

Masterpiece RTS

Empire Earth is a masterpiece of a game and sadly very overlooked in the RTS landscape. It is by far (and I mean this) the most ambitious RTS ever made spanning over twenty eras/epochs of human history with in-depth units on all battlefronts (sea, land and air). The scope of the game is just insane and there are many different civilizations to play. think of Empire Earth as Age Of Empires on steroids then times that by an order of magnitude. I fell in love with Empire Earth and between the absolute crazy scale, awesome campaigns and active passionate communities you have a masterpiece RTS game.

Still my favourite Game of all time

This game what hooked me on RTS games in the first place , yes I had played Age of Empires one and two before though I liked those much I found something lacking there. Pop cap of 175 come on. And havingcavemen develop from the dark age before time until th Space age was one of the grandest apeal of the game in addition to this the battles are still grand in scale. You cannot imagine how disappionted I was about for exaple to discover in Dawn of War II that you only can have at best a patrol skirmish still having in mind the 12+ hour Mp sessions of EE LAN Parties with ten thausands of casualties. Yeah by now the low poly style doesnt hold up anymore but it still is functional and there is grafical onlyone faction though I dont regret anything about playing this for about two decades now. Economy really basic though you wont have stripped the whole map after half an hour like in AoE. And you dont have to deal with just 2 rescourses like in Coc when you are screwed anyway when you are missing one. No iron? go for trech motars instetad! Noch gold ? Roll the riflemen out. The only nippick Ii have here that you only can have a market if you buy it as a civ trait [ i belive it was called stock exchange[ Worth it in best regards.

A flawed expansion

The base is an ambitious project that for most part is well done. My only complaints of the base games are the campaign mission vary too wildly in difficultly. From from super to easy to punishing hard. The only other complaint the is they recycle way too many assets. The expansion is rushed and easily done. The expansion civ powers range from useless to game breaking. The space in the space is re-textured ocean. Finally the expansion campaigns are easily done, glitch out. Such when I win the game doesn't register my victory. Otherwise this game is a must have for any historical RTS fan.
