Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom

In my opinion this is the best of all the city building games. It offers a pretty unique atmosphere, catchy theme and gameplay keep you entertained. Combat is just as bad as it is in every city building game, I'd much rather go without it entirely to be honest, but it's easy to ignore.

I been looking for this game ever since I lost the disc version. The game is easy to understand and a one of a kind when it comes to the city building series from this time period. The controls are easy and the tutorial is easy explained and good to follow. I love how you can combine fields like rice and cabbage or anything like that, I am totally in love with this game.

Runs great on wine, with the exception of minor glitches on menus outside the actual game, using wine 3.13 on ubuntu 16.

This is hands down the best city builder game I have played. Played it for the first time in Middle school and its still my go to game at almost 30.

This is the last of the city-builder series made by sierra. It's the perfect fusion between the complexity of caesar 3, some new mechanics from Pharaon and Zeus, and a new polish and congruent graphics. Perfect setting, like ancient rome, greece and Egypt. Don't think about it, buy it. Now p.s. somebody told me there a fourth chapter of caesar, but don't listen to that voices, it's a lie
