Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom

The best of the series. It has an amazingly beautiful setting in ancient China, which is definetely an unusual choice in the genre but a refreshing one. The game offers many glimpses into Chinese history and culture and is an overall gem. The graphics held up surprisingly well and it is a joy to lose yourself in the incredibly detailed buildings, streets and gardens. I still play this game from time to time and I am glad that now I don't have to worry about losing or damaging the CD anymore. Great!

This is amazing! I already wrote a couple of reviews stating how much I dislike Caesar III mechanics, yet this game using those is amazing! And again, I am not driven by nostalgia, as this is a game I discovered not so long ago. The graphics are really beautiful: I learned a lot about Ancient China, and the cities are really fun to build! Even with walker machanics, they are done on a way, and with so many tools to control those walkers that actually you can build cities as you want to and the engine will adapt to your way instead of doing the opposite! This game seriously rocks, and even if ti was quite old when I discovered it, I still spend hours and hours playing it!

Emperor is probably one of the most highly requested games in relation to Sierra Impressions. Thanks to this release, people will finally get to experience the Chinese civilisation as they built it millenia ago! I already have a CD Copy, but I totally will buy this just to have the full collection! :D Thanks GOG for releasing this gem of a classic game!

The soundtrack, the voice lines (considering italian and english versions) were so fu***** funny, the history behind, the mills full of every kind of spices and food, the colours inside this game, the tai-ji quan yard, makes this game a pure gem, the best title from city building's series. I requested and waited this game since... three years maybe? Anyway GO AND CLICK ADD TO CART XD
