Aesthetics the Best, Gameplay repetative
The aesthetic of the game are great. My best looking Cities of the Sierra City-building series were in Emperor. But, rules became simpler and simpler with each game in the Sierra series. From struggling to get walkers to co-operate in C3 to build anywhere in Emperor, this game became beautiful but, for me, dull. My C3 Cities were sloppier but the struggle making them work made them feel more organic. One really good note in Emperor was the spying system in this game. That part would have pleased Sun Tzu.

A spinnoff of better older versions.
The first thing I will say about this game is that when I started playing it there was a bug that stopped production in the units of my city building. It wouldnt allow trade in my city. When I built any cities there was no commerce allowed where there should have been. As well as that I prefer older titles because at the same time as they never had such issues they just looked and felt better. I do love strategy games that are about chinese history but in all honesty this one just doesnt seem to do that justice. Its a retro title so obviously the graphics are kind of cheesy. But then again so were the even older Caesar games and they were like so much more enjoyable. Having said. Hence the low marks. Nobody likes glitches. If you are going to release a game at least make it playable. Obviously word not just from me.

Game wont start
I've just downloaded Emperor ROTMK and I won't work, I'm on windows 10 and could never get the CD copy to work either[on win 10]..the screnn where it says single player etc is frozen, nothing happens when I click on single player [or any of them] has anyone else had this problem, I was so looking forward to playing this title, I love Emperor, I just wish I could play it, I might have to get my money back...
