Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom

Emperor has got you covered as one of the best city builders to date! It holds up extremely well and its super fun to learn :D the soundtrack is beautiful and keeps me extremely relaxed during the roughest of times ( thankyou ancestors, i worship you and you pay me back by flooding my city ) I recommend this game to anyone! its easy to pick up and fun all around FIVE STARS

Amazing gameplay, even by today's standards.

I only played this game for the first time in 2024. It still holds up and is a ton of fun to play. The gameplay is great for any city builder fan, and the graphics are not dated at all and really convey the Chinese setting. I was also surprised at the scope of gameplay; not only can you build your own city, but there is a diplomacy/warfare aspect with other cities as well. Highly recommended!

i've loved the game, but i didnt understand the mechanics when i was child, but right now seems to be much easier for me :)

After a few episodes the game crashes, alwasy around the same point. Not possible to continue the game.
