Description
From the makers of the world renowned “Wizardry Empire” titles, Starfish SD brings you the latest entry in their popular series of dungeon crawlers. Elminage Gothic, previously only available in Japanese on PlayStation® Portable, now comes to PC offering a classic old school dungeon crawling experience with a dark, gothic twist!
In ancient times, the Great and Dark Gods clashed in a ferocious war over Man's control of the world, bringing despair and ruin to the lives of all humans.
As the conflict raged, the Great Gods sought to vanquish the power of the Dark Gods through the faith of humans. In return for their faith, the Gods promised humans a world of peace and prosperity and thereby a contract between humans and the Great Gods was formed.
By the contract, the Dark Gods could not interfere with the world of humans and were forever sealed inside their world of darkness. The people worshiped the Great Gods in thanks for their prosperity, and the world entered an era of peace.
However…
The humans grew complacent and allowed their faith to fade.
Now, in the far-off realm of Ishmag, King Jardin ushers in an age of peace. Unknown to him, the dark powers have already begun reaching out in secret, planting the seeds to bring about the revival of the Dark Gods into the hearts of men. Foul and hideous creatures are emerging from the deep, treacherous caves of Tsun-Kurn and rumours of a rising evil are creeping across the peaceful lands.
It is up to you to arm yourself and descend into the depths of Tsun-Kurn in an attempt to put an end to the ever growing darkness and save your kingdom.

Why buy on GOG.COM?
DRM FREE. No activation or online connection required to play.
Bought this yesterday for the price of $2.49 and figured what the heck for that price. I had read the reviews about the controls and boy were they right! Just trying to navigate to swap equipment, check and disarm traps, equip your characters, all a pain in the behind.
Plus I had rolled some great characters (19-25 bonus point pools) only to have my characters wiped out by three layers of tough monsters on the first door I went through on the first dungeon. Too much time spent clicking on commands and not enough on anything else. Played for about 4 hours and gave up.
So for a couple of bucks I had slight entertainment value. I would not spend more on this game.
Pretty much like Wizardry but too much RNG.
BUYERS BEWARE!!!!
YOU NEED A GUIDE TO COMPLETE THIS GAME!
Most if not all the dungeons requires a somekind of Thief to discover secret walls, even having a Thief its random that you may discover it!!!! The ability to discover secret walls, like in every Might and Magic game, is not stated ANYWHERE in the manual nor in the game!!
The problem with this is that is Random that your Thief can even tell you theres a secret wall!
The 2nd dungeon and onwards, you NEED TO DISCOVER THOSE WALLS or you will never EVER progressed! Remember, its random if it can be detected! Ive spent almost 4 hours roaming around until I got a guide from STEAM and even though I knew where the wall was, I had to look at it several times until my Thief detect it!
Sincerely, I cant recommend a game that just waste your time and treats the customer as a dumbass.
Thought I would test my level 1 party in a sparring fright in the city. My whole team died and took me back to main menu. Have to make my entire party agian? Nope
I don't remember playing worse game. It is ugly. The enemies on screen shots are misleading, most the time you will play in super poor 3D environment. Music is weak and forgettable. Interface is inconvenient, especially in battles. Story makes no sense. Game is boring as hell.
The biggest problem of it is it difficulty level. You can meet in the same spot one weak enemy or group of super hard enemies. No logic, no preparation possible. You will die hundreds of time. The game sinks into load/save marathon.
Feel something like playing draft game, lack convenient gui, stupid level system where you can lose character points. And only place where you can sleep is inn.
