Egypt: Old Kingdom

It's a really interesting game to play, but personally, I found it too tough to enjoy, even at the simplest difficulty, so I don't think I'll play it a second time. However, for people who enjoy a challenge in resource management, this might be just the thing. It's very thematic too, and the game mechanics work well too. I just really wish there was a casual mode to this game so I could enjoy it too.

This is a fun game for the price. Just like the first game, it's great to play through an actual historical campaign, but once you get to a certain period of history, the game ends. The gameplay and functionality of the game is different than the first one. The changes work but I find the gameplay of the predynastic game to work better since it's a simpler interface. Anyways, it's fun for cheap game when it's on sale.

the randomizer keeps this game fresh. manage resources, have no regrets. it's a turn-based builder game if thats your thing.

A turn based strategy game, where you have very limited options. It is like, you chose the only obvious action and then click end turn. To be fair, there may be two or three but not interconnected. And you do this 100rds of times. There is no long time planing. There is no strategy in combat. There is no decent tecnology. It is just - mind dead - click on... Not bad for the first 50 turns if you expect there will be something happening later on. But it stays just this way. Grafics are good. Sounds minimal. Fun of playing: Decreesing the longer you play. I mean how dumbed down are games these days... I really hate that I spend under 4 Euros for this crap.
