Description
Eador is a universe made of countless shards of land drifting in the Great Nothing. Each of the shards is a little world unto itself, with geography and denizens of its own. The power over the shards is bitterly contested by Masters, the immortal beings mortals believe to be gods.

Take the role of the mighty Master and shape the destiny of Eador! It is in your power to deliver the world from ultimate destruction – or to choke it with an iron fist of tyranny. Eador. Masters of the Broken World is a turn-based fantasy strategy game, where the decisions you make affect the world even deeper than the battles you win.

  • A balanced fusion of grand strategy, turn-based tactics, and RPG elements;
  • Boundless role playing opportunities coupled with a massive selection of stratagems and ways to wage war;
  • An intriguing, non-linear story that unfolds in a living, breathing fantasy world.

Note: This game may require additional serial key for multiplayer mode. In case it is not automatically generated in your GOG.com library (open it via website → select the game → More → Serial Keys), please reach out to our Support team.

Nice ideas with multiple problems

I quite liked this game - interesting mix of HOMM with Civilisation. Hero upgrading, discovering all the places, conquering new lands - all of that was great. However, there was one big problem - the campaign's length. I have played for 20h or more and finished like 1% of the campaign. I did not even reach the moment when I could ally with other astral beeings. Moreover, the campaign very quickly started to be repetitive: start with a weak hero, conquer some bandits, build army, deafeat the main enemy. Overall, if you want to see something fresh then buy this game.

Poor attempt at classic gameplay

What HoMM and some later games did well, this game fails at miserably. There are some really nice ideas, all of them badly implemented. Clunky interface, illogical management, not enough feedback, a gazillion clicks and waits to do a simple thing. Avoid, unless you're getting paid to play this game. The consider, if your time is worth it.

What the hell

is this piece of crap ? So basically you take a perfectly working game, add bugged as hell 3D graphics (objects disappearing, slow framerate on a great computer), and advertise it as a follow up with added features and multiplayer which aren't in. What the hell is going on here ? Why is it on gog ? The game is unfinished and shouldn't be out. DON'T BUY IT. I'm warning you. You WILL be disappointed.

Great game!

I really enjoy the game. I have not had the pleasure of playing the earlier game, Genesis, so I was not disappointed that this is a remake of the original. For those coming to this game from a Heroes of Might and Magic perspective, this game is not Heroes, though it does have a very similar feel. I find that I miss those little things you find when running around the map. On the other hand, this game adds in it's own complexity and I find myself restarting frequently because the tactic I took just wasn't the right one. Overall, I am gladly 'wasting' my afternoons with this game. A wonderful game when you need a break from reality and not just a silly click game.

Addictive

A mix of Settlers, Anno1602 and Blackguards. Lots of micromanagement for the economics part, turn based fighting with different units, skill improvements for your hero and your individual warband members, rare magic items and sets for different classes to wear. With more settlements and buildings you construct/control you conquer you gain more troops and can hire different types of folk to protect them. The tutorial is very well done and easy to pick up.
