Eador is a universe made of countless shards of land drifting in the Great Nothing. Each of the shards is a little world unto itself, with geography and denizens of its own. The power over the shards is bitterly contested by Masters, the immortal beings mortals believe to be gods.
Take the role of the mighty Master and shape the destiny of Eador! It is in your power to deliver the world from ultimate destruction – or to choke it with an iron fist of tyranny. Eador. Masters of the Broken World is a turn-based fantasy strategy game, where the decisions you make affect the world even deeper than the battles you win.
A balanced fusion of grand strategy, turn-based tactics, and RPG elements;
Boundless role playing opportunities coupled with a massive selection of stratagems and ways to wage war;
An intriguing, non-linear story that unfolds in a living, breathing fantasy world.

Why buy on GOG.COM?
DRM FREE. No activation or online connection required to play.
sadly my review is too long and GOG doesn't tell me how much I should remove, so I'll just post it in the forums. the td;dr :
avoid at all cost, until the developers patched it so that it is at least playable. MUCH potential but nothing delivered except eye and ear candy.
I can't list all of the bugs and problems with this game because of the limit on review length. Basically, don't buy it unless you're a simpleton who likes random events and, with each new patch, random bugs.
I bought the game because I often saw it described as 'challenging'. It's not. There is no AI, just simplistic hard-coded tactics which you soon recognise and exploit/avoid. I've put 100's of hours into the campaign, but there are about 20 hours of actual gameplay, extended by repetitiion.
Buggy as hell and each patch re-introduces old bugs and adds new ones. I've reached a stage where I can't continue because the game gets stuck in a loop.
Even when you realise you can click the screen to speed up the tortuous animations, you still have to sit through combat animations that are like a slug swimming through molasses.
The last patch I applied added pointless new 'features' while actually slowing down ranged spell animations even more and introducing 2 new bugs. The game needs to be fixed at a core level, not have bells and whistles attached.
Just 1 more game that gives me the impression that GOG is becoming a litter bin where people dump their failed games.
You should still buy this game and the expansion with it even if you already own Genesis. Be sure to update it though. Some stuff needed. Most of it is just like the same thing with different graphics but still, even so its awesome. Get it ANYWAY! ITS WORTH IT! Again, be sure to get the updates and stuff.
