Dust: An Elysian Tail

I'm usually not a platform fan (aging eyes and fingers), and I've never been a furry (though I've known a few). I would never have discovered this until GOG put it on sale for the price of a good cup of coffee. It's from a tiny (almost one-person) studio. The art, animation, sound, controls are pretty much flawless. I found it appropriately challenging on "Normal", YMMV. A dozen hours in, I think I'm getting close to the finale, but it's a Metroidvania game, so it needs at least one more playthrough. Snap this one up quick, while it's on sale, you won't be sorry!

First of all I haven't been a huge fan of platformers since I got rid of my SNES when I was a teen. And secondly I'm not a fan of anime/manga stylish games either. That aside, this here, is a great game. Nice animation & colorful graphics, smooth and responsive controls and satisfying battles. This could get you hooked for hours. And beneath all there's an actual story that's pretty well written. I bought this just to try it out and I was very pleasantly suprised. That doesn't happen too often.

This game is an overlooked masterpiece worthy of way more praise and popularity! Great controls, simple fighting mechanics, challenging platforming, wrapped up one of the best soundtracks, game art and animation, good voice acting, and a very well put together story with excellent humor and tragedy has safely placed this on my favorite games list forever. This game does more than most AAA games. While it may not be the longest game, it is most DEFINITELY deserving at least a look, and defintely requires a playthrough!

Looks like interactive Disney movie and plays like 2D Diablo.

This game does so much right - very fun movement, engaging story, humor, the lovely sidekick Fidget (who could be the hero of her own game), great game feel, beautiful game world, a lot of secrets to discover. Strongly recommended!
