It feels good to be bad, but it feels even better to be the embodiment of evil! Discover your evil side as you build your own underground kingdom. Carve out a living, breathing world and attract a host of devilish creatures to swell the ranks of your dark hoards. Form an alliance with the Horned Reaper and expand your empire in your quest to reach the daylight and invade the realms above.
Dungeon Keeper 2 is everything its predecessor was, only better and badder! It is probably one of the most addictive and fun games ever created; with tons of dark humor, smooth gameplay, and high replayability value. In addition to that there is a well designed multiplayer mode and a pet-dungeon module that tests your ability to build the ultimate underground labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and other hellish devices. If you liked Dungeon Keeper you will love this ultimate installment of the Bullfrog series.

Some bug with Dark Knights... You can't summon them after first mission they appear. No matter what you build or do they just not coming through portal. Plz fix this annoying bug.
This is one of the all time greats, a series that, due to the business end of things, died in its prime (CURSE YOU, EA!) Not your typical RTS, this game has a management aspect too, as you have no direct control over your creatures. If that sounds a little odd and off-putting to you, let me assure you, I felt the same way when I first picked up the game, but it works. The creatures are (with rare exceptions) smart enough that they don't need you to move them around like typical RTS soldiers. The indirect methods work, (dropping creatures into a fight, leading them by a possessed creature, etc.) for getting them to fight when & where you want them to, while they handle the day-to-day stuff of feeding, getting fed, and for those who are capable, doing other jobs like researching spells & manufacturing traps.
Whilst I'm not normally the guy who cares that much about graphics, I will say that this game looks much cleaner than its predecessor, and it's much easier to tell what's going on. The graphics themselves are a little dated, with relatively simplistic models, but they have aged with grace.
Of course, the greatest thing about this game is the atmosphere. In DK2, you're not just evil, you're positively gleeful about it. By this I mean that rather than being serious and overly grim, the game has a wonderful sense of humor about itself. Additionally, the music sets the mood well, and the 'Mentor' who informs you of everything from mission objectives to status updates like when your creatures' payday rolls around, is wonderfully voiced. Seriously I can't overstate how perfect he is in this role.
In conclusion, if you at all enjoy fantasy, strategy, or the role reversal of playing an unrepentant villain, mastermind, scoundrel, ne'er-do-well, then BUY THIS GAME. You'll thank me later.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not wearing Nostalgia glasses for this as when I first played DK2 I didn't play too much of it and I wasn't a lover of these kinds of games until later in my life.
What's often most disturbing is so many old posts say how it's a terrible port and not working, but those reviews are over 3 years old and for me the game runs fine on Windows 7 Ultimate and I've been playing it through steam too and have had no issues. I love the work these guys do here!
The game itself, if you didn't know, is where in stark contrast to most games you are playing the villain. You own a dungeon and are trying to conquer the world, however those pesky heroes keep getting in the way and trying to destroy you in the game of being a pompous, dungeon dwelling thief! Teach them a lesson by recruiting minions and knocking back their pathetic advances!
This and the first game were completely new ideas back in the day and to this day most games haven't done the formula correctly. the ability to possess a minion I always loved as I would do hit-and-run tactics with enemy traps and enemies in general to make sure I won.
A fantastic game that enhances anyone's library!
the game lags alot in the menu ad I can't see the movie clips, works fine in game. makes it hard to play since you have too tab out and then in several times to get in game. is there any way to fix it or is t the game it self?
