Dungeon Keeper Gold™

It cannot get better than this. A DOS game works like a breeze. Controls are smooth, sound is great, start menu convenient. It's like a window to my childhood.

This game is a timeless classic that I keep going back to. It's great that it now contains the Deeper Dungeons expansion. However I really REALLY wish with all my heart that it also contained the Editor part of the original Gold package. I loved that, and used spend hours tinkering and creating my own levels. I seriously miss it, and attempts to integrate old custom level files with this GOG version have failed. :( Still an excellent game though, and highly recommended to anyone who's never played it before. Especially if you feel like getting in touch with your dark side, laying waste to the land, and slaughtering a few Heroes. ;)

This game, even after so much time, remains a great RTS game. It's unique and it has one of the best single player campaings I've ever seen in any RTS game. It has a good learning curve, with the first levels being extremely easy, and some of the later levels being excruciating at times. I'll not give 5 stars to the game because I ran into some mouse glitches many times during my gameplay. I had to restart some stages more than once, save them in the middle, because the glitches I found made the game unplayable. But with persistence, I could finish the single player campaign and have a good time.

After changing GPU, Dungeon Keeper now launches with music but with a white screen.

I have nothing but praise for this double header of demonic delights, I loved both DK and DD as a kid, and I still love them as an adult, they run beautifully and the resolution is fantastic once you've stuck it in hi-res. DK was a triumph during Bullfrog's heyday, the difficulty builds gradually as you go through the game, and even as an adult I am still challenged by it as much as I was when I was a kid. Cannot recommend this title enough!
