I feel this game so special and rare that you can't find others' like that. Back to content, it has rich plot about acient Indonesian ghost story and interesting attack methods almost like Fatal Frame series. But as an indie game, there are some bugs have been met in the centain place. Btw, the place of fighting ghost always such narrow and dark, which is made me trembling and shrinking head. Apart from this , all for good.

Go into this game expecting a good fatal frame clone that's very rough around the edges.

I found myself being bored instead of creeped out or scared. The game looks fine enough , graphics are more focused towards the enemies and main characters , other NPCs look kind of bad. Overall the game looks okay graphically but nothing amazing , it feels like a major budget title.The game plays out more or less like a cheap fatal frame , with wonky controls and some notable bugs , the enemies are creepy looking at least but there is no real danger as when you "die" , you just run down a big hall called "purgatory" , but its basically a loading screen and you start right where you left off. I would say don't waste your time on this, unless you feel like playing a mediocre horror game reminisant to classic horror games, it's acceptable but nothing more, its just fine , thats it.

Or Project Zero, depending on where you live. This game takes the basic premise (Asian teenager surrounded by ghosts and armed with a camera capable of getting rid of them) and strips away all the RPG elements. You can't power up your camera or anything like that. The atmosphere is also lacking compared to the Fatal Frame series. It's just not as scary. Now, this isn't to say DreadOut isn't fun. Just if you were hoping for a spiritual successsor to Fatal Frame, you're not going to find it here.
