Dragon's Lair Trilogy

Not being able to turn off the control overlay at all is bad enough, but what really kills the game(s), as has been mentioned before, is the way the game interprets a player's input; it's all over the place. Frequent deaths through no fault of one's own makes this version impossible to beat and unfun. It's amazing how they could bungle this up so badly. The old DVD-player-only/non-PC versions I got in the mid-2000s surprisingly play way better than this. Avoid at all costs since it's very unlikely that these will ever be fixed. =/

REALLY sloppy ports of these pieces of gaming history. Full of glitches, bugs, game delays, choppy animations, lousy OSD, this is a mess. It is May 2020 and still no fix. Do not give a single penny for this in its current state. Even if they give you the game for free, you still get a lousy deal, as you'll be doing play-testing withouht getting payment, nor the satisfaction that you helped on the improvement of the game, as all bug-glitch reports seem to fall into deaf ears... What a pity!

That's how much I save every game I playthrough on this absolute shite of a game. This game utterly destroyed me back in the day, the few times I attempted it. The recreation here is spot on, and it's as equally frustrating now as it was back in the 80s. Absolutely terrible game, but I love it! And I really, really love the fact that I'm not throwing away 50¢ every time I play a 30 second game! This is one of those games that mocked me every time I walked into an arcade. I love sticking it to the man every time I play, knowing it cost me nothing. I also got it on sale for like 5 or 6 bucks, so it paid for itself in about 5 minutes. To say I have a love hate relationship with this game is an understatement. If this game taunted you in the 80s with it's high price and impossible gameplay, get it on sale here and stick it to the man five ways from Sunday!

I love this trilogy of games. I love them too much. I put more quarters in the arcades than I care to admit. This version seem to have issues with inputs. The commands seem off, delayed, early, or even super late button presses. I'm sure it's not me or my computer. I've beaten DL1 a couple times in the arcade, DL2 about 30 times, and SA a few. Terrible port if you ask me.

Space Ace is the piece of the trilogy I was interested, and I was simply shattered when I saw that it is full of bugs, at least windows version. "Energize" doesn't function, ace level of difficulty stops working after the astro fighters battle. But trurely, no one has ever tested the game, at least one time? Let's hope a patch, because now the game is unplayable. Dragon's Lair 1 and 2 seem fine, as you remember at the bar.
